Train refurb in Germany?

Some have said that there are no cars behind the loc. the reason is people do not watch there KIDS, they reach over and knock them off the track. In the beginning there was no fence around it then the kids started to run thru it, even with staff there. At one point there was a lot of interaction with things around the layout sawmill, Ferris wheel. there was a gentleman that only worked there he was not given much money to work with so a lot of the buildings came from auctions, but sadly he passed away from CA. and Disney never replaced him.

Sweet, another thing I love in Disney that I'll probably not be able to enjoy for half of a month while I'm there 9/5-9/20.

Hopefully this is up. I love taking pics here and watching the train(s). Always been into trains. Good to see it getting some TLC either way.

Just a quick update guys.....

I found a good picture of the layouts formal ballast, and it was the pea gravel ballast that is most commonly used for g scale.

I'm very happy with the concrete replacement, as this will help with keeping the track level and might even help with putting rolling stock back behind the engines.

Yes, still behind shrubs, all buildings and upper most {the hill track} and spur line thing at the bottom corner are still not there. Still behind the mobil hedges as of 2 hours 18 minutes ago from this posting
Thank you for checking. I'll check when I arrive in 2 weeks as well.

Hope the model train engines aren't going through the same repair process as the Lilly Belle, might not see them again in a long, long time.
Or ever apparently.

I always try to consciously keep complaints to a minimum, but the status of the Lilly Belle has become laughable at this point. When you google the subject and do some snooping you find everything from "it'll be here next week" all the way too "it's a conspiracy" and "if you only knew what I knew - but I can't actually say anything of value due to it being the biggest secret ever" and other such rubbish.

It would certainly be nice if the company did something to remove some of the mystery.

If only I was an insider I would look into it. More than likely it was just in a lot worse condition than they thought and just haven't thrown money at it to get it fixed quicker.

I just want to say thanks to all the model train experts in this thread. It was like taking a course study on model trains and it makes me quite envious of all of you!

I don't know, that one may have some merit. Everything else is going DVC, perhaps they're converting the Lilly Belle to DVC and selling points. After all, that was Disney's "Best Kept Secret" for some time. $150/pt, 25 points required for a bench in a car one time around MK. I could see that happening! ;)
