Train refurb in Germany?

I don't remember what the trains were like pre refurb, nor am I a model train expert by any means, but when I was there last night, there were two locomotives. One was pulling 3-4 cars, the other was pulling just one car behind it.

I believe that was something being discussed earlier in this thread so figured I'd chime in for anyone curious!

If anyone is able to take pictures, or a video of the trains, I can also tell you guys if they're back to the good German engines, which they have switched out with Chinese models in the last couple of years.

As I said previously, a concrete base was the best and only way for Disney to have cars behind the engine, especially due to the fact that the last time they closed it to maintain it was a long time ago. For me to have cars on my layout, I need to work in the backyard almost every other day of the season. What the concrete does it keeps the track in place well enough that it won't unlevel itself during operation, leaving the cars to fall off the uneven track.

If they've got cars running currently, they must be pretty confident they won't derail.....

Sorry I didn't get video of the trains themselves. It was so busy that night. I am planning to go back this weekend, so I'll try to get video of the trains that are running on the track.

Like @nelsonj3, it was too crowded for me to take photos. I stopped for a second when I saw the walls were down, and made note that one engine was pulling one car behind it, and another engine was pulling several cars behind it. There were only two locomotives running when I was there.

We stopped by several times Friday and Saturday, sometimes 1 train was moving, sometimes all three were moving. Saturday after 2 pm, no trains were moving and it stayed that way the rest of the evening. Hopefully with the ticket price increases they can keep them running more consistently......I saw so many people walk away disappointed as we did each time we stopped. With it being Duffy's last day in the park it was not a good visit. Duffy ran all day. :)

Yes the rehab is open but who ever laid the track was Highly incompetent. Track joints are all messed up, the track is not leveled side to side and the track has not been cleaned at all. I'm honestly surprised that the trains run at all.

I was there on Tuesday, and I took a much more comprehensive video of the entire train area including lots of footage of the actual trains. I just haven't had time to post it. I'll post here again when it is done.
