Galaxy’s Edge increasing? I had thought about $700 million but I guess more. 2-ride lands now cost more than it cost to build the park they’re in!Park total so far.
SWL was always a lot more than that.Galaxy’s Edge increasing? I had thought about $700 million but I guess more. 2-ride lands now cost more than it cost to build the park they’re in!

WDI’s spending problems are at a breaking point. There needs to be an intervention and GotGMB and PP aren’t it.SWL was always a lot more than that.
Didn't Iger say that the land will cost about $1 billion at an investor meeting or earnings call?Galaxy’s Edge increasing? I had thought about $700 million but I guess more. 2-ride lands now cost more than it cost to build the park they’re in!
Did he? I don’t honestly recall. Surprised he’d be proud of that.Didn't Iger say that the land will cost about $1 billion at an investor meeting or earnings call?

Any news on admission hikes or special scheduling for when SW:GE opens? I'm not convinced they can relieve the upcoming capacity problem with rapid construction alone, especially since multiple high profile attractions/lands/IPs are opening up in the same park within a relatively short timeframe of each other.
Looks like it was an earnings callI don’t remember what it was but I remember him saying that.
Kathy Mangum said they were going for Cars Land level detail and immersion with Toy Story Land at the official announcement.I don't think that anyone thinks of it as a "reasonable substitute for Cars Land", but, it is what we have. It was designed in the fashion that even Walt would have agreed with. It was a place for kids that allowed parents to be part of. I fail to see what is wrong with that or it's existence. The rest of you will get your fantasy fix with SWL, now how about letting the startup Disney lovers have something that they will remember fondly, not just those of us with stunted development who need our allegedly adult playground and don't like to share.
LIES. Jim Hill made up Monstropolis.Yes. And an Indiana Jones land. Instead we will get about $1 billion invested in the two lands we get. I don’t have a final number on Mickey but I’d hazard $300,000,000. It had its budget increased. So ballpark $1.3 bn.
Just heard the hourly capacity for Slink Dog. Yikes. No wonder they’re open 15.5 hrs daily this summer. And still only about 40% of guests will get on.
OK, but, that isn't saying that it's Cars Land. I'm not sure what the aim was originally, but, what I do know is we are getting what we are getting and we can whine about what might have been forever because that is an infinite level topic. However, as far as it ever materializing, it didn't, it isn't going to and all the talk in the world will not change that. So why waste the time concerning ourselves over the might have been, and try to find the good in what is. We were owed absolutely nothing.Kathy Mangum said they were going for Cars Land level detail and immersion with Toy Story Land at the official announcement.
ive always thought people took that quote from her way to literal, but she probably shouldn't have said itOK, but, that isn't saying that it's Cars Land.
