I think Lasseter is only interested in the parks insofar as they concern Pixar, and then only in California.
Pity in a way. His theme park work is not my style, but I would love to have him oversee Toy Story Land, if just for some production value control.
Does anybody know if Lasseter was at all involved with the two abominable other TSLs?
Thanks for the outlines where the rides will be located. That leaves a lot of land left over to work with ( I know there will be service buildings)If I had to guess, I would say the coaster load/unload building in red and the Buzz Lightyear ride in blue.

Well for one, the movies Lasseter personally directed rather than merely oversaw are the Toy Story and Cars franchises, which he then diarrhead all over Disney's parks. They also are unfornately my least favourite Pixar movies. And I resist the single IP model, which I suspect of having limited appeal, both demographically and emotionally. And which I think a sign of weakness: good designers can create a coherent land out of a more diverse and far less direct source. (Whereas the current crop, well yesterday's crop, can not even create a cohesive environment out of such similar material as four princess movies, leaving us the jumbled mess that is NFL. No wonder the push for the sandbox design mode of the single movIe IP)What is it about his theme park style you don't like? I find Cars Land to be on par with the best of old school Imagineering.
Any idea what the other space will be used for?If I had to guess, I would say the coaster load/unload building in red and the Buzz Lightyear ride in blue.

I certainly agree with you regarding the theme park lands based on Toy Story! Thanks for sharing a bit deeper. I always enjoy hearing other opinions.Well for one, the movies Lasseter personally directed rather than merely oversaw are the Toy Story and Cars franchises, which he then diarrhead all over Disney's parks. It would be nice if they had an aireal outline of the area like the one for SWL at DLR.Any idea what the other space will be used for?

There's the D23 event coming up in November, but typically this is a history event not a news event. I haven't looked into it, but has anyone been confirmed to appear?@RSoxNo1 isn't there an event coming up in November where a Cameron will be there to talk about AvatarLand? You would think Disney would give more details about TSL at this event to create some excitement about the project.
Cameron, Rohde, Landau, and Chapek are all going to be there. There's the D23 event coming up in November, but typically this is a history event not a news event. I haven't looked into it, but has anyone been confirmed to appear?

Seems like it. What could have been.Such a huge waste of land.
It's just so big... With the spot outlined that was said to be the load/unload of the coaster, it boggles my mind how they could possibly fill up the rest of the huge space between with meaningful additions.Such a huge waste of land.
Just curious - how many acres does frontierland cover? Big Thunder, Splash, Tom Sawyer Island, Country Bear could fit in that space. It's just so big... Just looking at the aerial shows how crazy it is that only two attractions will be there.
