Between these two at MGm, which do you think is a better "thrill" ride? I just love ToT - I think the set-up is great, love the music, the surroundings - it seems so realistic. But for the thrill itself I would have to go for RnR. Nothing can beat that first take off!! You've got to love it!! (What about that big donut guys? I know we have some donut lovers here....) :)

Its a tough question. I think its a bit unfair on ToT, as its been open for a few years, and we get kinda used to it. I remember in its first year it was absolutely terrifying - major thrill on the drop. In comparison now, RnR has the higher thrill factor for me :-) BUT I think if they had both opened up at the same time, ToT would have just topped RnR it. :p

for me it has to be ToT I just love the whole theme of it. It doesnt matter how many times I ride it, I never get used to that first plunge.

Hmmm...great question. Tough one. But if I had to choose only one, I have more of a lasting impression in my mind of Tower of Terror when I leave the ride, so I'd have to choose it.

Its got to be Tower of Terror. I love RnR, well all rollercoasters for that matter, but I don't think it fits in with the Disney atmosphere. Especially an upside-down rollercoaster (which Walt didn't want in this park).

Put my vote in for the Tower of Terror. I think the plunge is a very different type of sensation that you can't experience on a roller coaster that may be steep but is always moving forward.
The biggest thrill is when you first move into the elevator shaft and it is real quiet...and hot....just for a few moments and then...ZAP...the bottom falls out.
Plus....the entire ambiance of the ToT is perfect...pushes all my fear buttons. And, since I grew up with Twilight Zone, this ride is a very appropriate monument to the great mind of Rod Serling.

I love both and I couldn't choose between the two. They are both awesome thrill rides on the Disney level. Think about it---most roller coasters and drops don't give you additional story lines and extreme themeing on the level that Disney does.

Rockin Rollercoaster has a bigger thrill for me. ToT isn't as fast, and you can't really see where you're going. If you had better visual, I think this ride would give me a bigger thrill.

I would have to go with ToT. I love RnR, but I think that the overall theming and story is better at ToT. Also, you just can't beat that slow, tension filled ride up the shaft. You know what's coming, but it's still a complete rush when you take the plunge!

Mr Lightbeer

As Mr Lightbeer blasts Aerosmith and does 0 - 60 as quick as the RnR every day in his car I have to say I prefer ToT

As thrill rides they both suck, but if I had to pick it would be Rock n Roller. If you want thrill, its gotta be the Millenium Force at CP.

RNR. When you frist Launch, that rush of air is the coolest thing in the world.

I mean, Tot is good, but RnR is like going on ToT Straight and going upside-down!

They are the greatest one-two punch around, for my money. I'll just have to leave it at that. The queues for both can be awesome. When at the recording studio, I try to take time to take in the classic guitars, equipment, and concert posters. Aerosmith is one of my favorite "classic bands" still together with all its original members, so being invited to join them backstage at their concert gets a thumbs up. Excitement builds in the load area as you see one stretch limo after another burning rubber into the tunnel . . .

Meanwhile, at the Hollywood Tower Hotel, it is easy to slide into character as a hotel guest, checking in for a stay. I've usually done just that very thing within the past 24 hours, so I take in the atmosphere of the hotel and grounds, then allow myself a feeling that something is amiss when I see the neglect in the abandoned lobby of the magnificent hotel. The feelings grow inside the library and by the time I am directed through the hotel's BOILER ROOM to board the elevator up to my room, the theming and backstory have put me in just the right mood to be pleasantly horrified at the unfolding events.

So, I can't choose one over the other.

for me it has to be rock and rollercoaster. even though ive never been on tower of terror( and never will) as it just doesnt appeal to me. one thing i hate about rock and rollercoaster is when your about to go through the tunnel my eyes are always closed as im totally scared but i think that is where the camera is as everytime i see my picture my eyes are always closed and im as stiff as a board coz im scared but i go on it as its exciting, i like the rush and for the ride itself. then when your through the tunnel i open my eyes and all i see is the hollywood sign upside down- which is fun.:p

Definitely ToT. Better themeing, better preshow and better overall thrill value. I like RnR, but I think ToT wins this one in a walk.

ToT, without a doubt. I rode ToT v4 for the first time in December, and it scared the stuff out of me when we didn't go to the top before dropping.
