Having no insider information myself I'm guessing they don't really have a clue what to do with it since the space is relatively small. That's why we haven't seen a replacement.

Diamond Horseshoe is located in Frontierland. Laugh Floor uses the theater that housed America The Beautiful Originally, then remodeled for The Timekeeper attraction. The Flight To The Moon Theaters were remodeled to be Alien Encounter which was turned into Stitch. They are across the street from each other.

Once you know the Alien Encounter/Stitch theater used to be Flight to the Moon, you can’t unsee it. The seating in the round, the low railings, the circular platform (once a screen, then housing for the Stitch AA)—it’s remarkable how little they changed it!
It’s like the Edison used to be the Adventurers Club in Disney Springs. They basically ripped out everything that made the AC interesting, added some industrial-machinery-turned-furniture, and there you have it.
Reminds me of when a restaurant takes over a building that was built as a fast-food restaurant. You can call it whatever you want, but from the outside, it will always look like a Taco Bell.

Is the Stitch theatre empty? Can it be restarted? I did not enjoy the show (compared to Alien Encounters) but it's better than an empty building. I know many will disagree on here.
In all fairness they made massive changes. All that were left were the main walls and foundations. And roof.

Lol something like that. But yes, the basic premise and appearance is the same as December 1971.

It’s currently a break room for cast members. The animatronics have been gutted and skinned so its not likely to open just because they’d have to rebuild and redo a lot of things in it.

At opening in 1971, Diamond Horseshoe was considered part of Liberty Square. Not sure when that changed.
Still is AFAIK
The Disney maps say so, too.
That and I don’t think they’ve moved the mini Mississippi

Well I would have lost a Disney Parks Trivia game on that one! I guess I’ve always assumed it was considered Frontierland cause of the theme and the location in Disneyland.

Park maps flipped flopped between labeling it as Frontierland or Liberty Square, but in terms of physical location it's Liberty Square.
The kitchen is shared with LTT and the building is bookended by the former Tri Corn Hat Shoppe on the West side.
