What is the fascination with the purple wall?

Teenagers like to have their picture taken in front of it because its purple color makes it well suited for Instagram uploads. This, plus the irony of being excited about something so mundane in one of the most extensively designed and decorated places on Earth has lead the wall to becoming a bit of a "thing" with a subset of teens and young adults who are into Instagram and internet fad culture. More recently, the company has started to release merchandise like shirts and magicbands to capitalize on the phenomenon.

Wow. That sounds so...exciting? Thanks for the info.

Seeing the paint on COP I don’t understand why they don’t just give it a fastpass if nothing more than to bring attention to it to increase guest usage. I mean they do it with the shows like FotLK, so why not this?

A FP for CoP would be awful. The priority seating would be up front making it more difficult to go to sleep.

Disney’s should restore that attraction to its 1960s ending and add video recaps of the microprocessor, space travel, and other tech advancements as you rotate into the final scene and the song ends.

I'd be all for that except for the video clips.
The '64 World's Fair version, even with its crass GE commercialism, would be more alien, more interesting, and more educational than the current "future of the '90s" ending the attraction has now.

Multiple screens in the final room with the logo could be cool, as long as they’re just playing loops and not an “American Adventure”-style video. Either way, the 60s should come back!

Oh, you mean on the loading stage?
I think they need that space to be pretty plain, what for encouraging people to get on and off the carousel there.

Right now, you sit there while colored lights rotate on the logo and an awful pop version of the song plays.

I think marni1971 mentioned the attraction was still due for a reworked final scene. I don't know if you know anything about the plans or if you can speak on the matter, but do you think it's likely they'll restore the 60s finale?

The Studios have a new hunt for Stitch at the end or exit of most attractions. It has been a new 'extra' for guests to see if they can find all of the hidden Stitches, some hiding in Plain Sight other not.

I tend to agree with you, there could be something to the Disney Channel and Stitch up and coming state side.

There is NEW merchandise everywhere of Stitch, from shoes, tshirts, backpacks, plushes and that is at WDW, Disney Stores and department stores like Box Lunch, JCP and Kohls. Today I receieved with my rewards a flyer with 10 Disney items plastered on the rewards card, one was a NEW Stitch Backpack and another was a NEW mini Stitch plush. The current Stitch attraction isn't beloved by many but I don't see Stitch disappearing from merchandising anymore than I would believe Figment would Disappear.

Last week I received my luggage tag I ordered.

Good to know there is now a resurgence of variety!!.. the time I was there a `1 year and half ago. There were very few Stitch products. Mostly the ancient old cups and the tshirts were nowhere to be seen.

is COP the only part left to paint now?

Rework as in.. updating to the modern times? or just fixing?

I THINK the comment was overhauling the fourth final scene, not just simple upkeep of the existing variant. Don't know if that's still the case. Someone who actually knows about the plans can clarify and correct if i'm wrong. Reworking it into the original 60s version of the scene would probably be the ideal way to handle it though.

They should start making merchandise for all the adults that also get excited and take pictures of ducks in the park instead of the 200’ tall castle in front of them!

In my opinion I would really like to see them upgrade all the animatronics in that show to the ones that are now used in the HOP..Give it the best care possible for such a classic attraction..If Great Moments and IASW got the TLC treatment a while back ib DL...Why not this!
