Tomorrowland is a ghetto. Someone has really derailed this area. The only thing they have gotten right that someone actually got right was finally the new peoplemover narration. But the rest is a disjointed mess of emptiness, ugly paint, and no cohesion in design. My only hope is with Tron they have an aesthetic they can follow and could use throughout, but they have known this for a long time and have done nothing.
There are still lots of lovely areas

5th gate? Just build a new resort Bob.
He’s being reprogrammed to play Bobby Womack’s “Across 100th Street” Rick James’s “Ghetto Life” and of course Warren G’s “Regulate”. Gotta fit in. Because it’s certainly not comically overstating it to say that

Well, it is Club Tinsel still...towards Feburary, so they are going to perform Randy Newman's Christmas in Cape Town. The song where the guy confidently dropped the N word too. I am sure glad his music will soon be heard in Frontierland.

They used that lower seating area as a dance party area.

Also that stage is the “roof” of Sonny’s stage, he’s lowered into the utilidors right now, probably getting some TLC

No, Sonny's stage is the roof of this stage. The real stage lowers into the Utilidors so performers can get on it. When it rises, Sonny goes up inside the bubble on top of the building. The fact that they have the stage in this position is actually a little concerning, as it means they're not actively working on him. Unless he's been removed.

Got it backwards, you’re right, he’s been covered in tarps the last few days, this is probably a better option till he’s fixed

It would be fun to see a whole new show... an animatronic robot spectacular...fresh and more futuristic. Sonny Eclipse was great for the tongue-in-cheek "Future That Never Was"...but we have stripped that back to the earlier version...
It should be crazy and gritty and fun like Tokyo's Robot Restaurant... now that would be a "must see" and a lot of fun...

I'm honestly a little concerned. Something like Sonny seems like exactly the kind of charming little thing they've been so adamant about getting rid of over the years. I could absolutely see them deciding he (and the Magic Stage itself) isn't worth the trouble and putting in some type of video display instead.

He also doesn't necessarily fit into the current direction for Tomorrowland, as he's pretty firmly planted in the 1994 New Tomorrowland story.

Disneyland Paris released these beautiful limited edition figurines of the Dragon under their Castle and The Timekeeper and 9-Eye from La Visionarium for the resort's 30th Anniversary this year . . . had they released a similar Sonny Eclipse figurine for WDW's 50th I would have bought it in an instant:

Sonny Eclipse is one of those taken for granted things. Current management would have never added him. And they dont try to even make money off of him. I feel they are like well people like him, and he works so we will just let it keep going. If it ever breaks we will just put it in permanent b mode with a blank stage.
