Cherry Tree Lane
We are proud to announce a new section of the United Kingdom Pavilion, Cherry Tree Lane! Themed to the classic 1964 film and it’s 2018 sequel, this land will take guests into the crazy and wonderful world of Mary Poppins.

View attachment 302420
Headlining the area is a new ride, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!”. Guests que through the famous Banks house, which has been recreated with astonishing accuracy.

The ride is suspended like Peter Pan’s flight, with Mary’s Poppins umbrella the vehicle. The ride is both outdoors and indoors. Each house in the UK Pavilion contains a room, and the umbrellas travel over the street and into the windows to reach the next set piece. There is no story to the ride, but rather a collection of random songs and set pieces from both the first and second film.

The ride concludes in a slow “race” between four other umbrella cars inside the painting. The umbrellas then celebrate with the song “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” before exiting.

A new candy eatery, a Spoonful of Sugar, is also seated on Cherry Tree Lane. A play area is added in the park. Occasionally, Bert’s one-man band comes out and plays some tunes.

This land could be implemented in two ways. Plan A involves the building of Cherry Tree Lane from the undeveloped forest along the walkway, allowing the rest of the pavilion's shop to remain. If construction is not desired, the buildings and shops towards the back of the area could be replaced with the new theme (Plan B).

Disney Imagineering hopes this land will both pay tribute to the classics, promote the upcoming sequel, and draw crowds to the typically ignored UK Pavilion.
This is such a fun idea! Great job with all the detail of the ride! I’m really curious on how the windows work and how they would look outside to the public. Great job on the overhaul!

Not sure if it still counts, but hopefully this attempt works.

A New American Adventure

Coming in 2021, just in time for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World will be a revamped pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase. The story of America is rich and diverse, and it is a story that has been celebrated in many ways in Disney parks throughout the world. One aspect of the American adventure not covered in Walt Disney World is the story of American cities, with the new U.S.A. Pavilion at Epcot, this will come to an end.

The pavilions colonial themed façade will be removed and replaced with Liberty Tower. This art deco style will contain attractions, shops, restaurants, and shows. The American Adventure Show will remain on the primary level of the tower. On the towers second level will be a new live show called ‘America Sings’. This show will feature a diverse cast of musicians that will celebrate America’s rich musical heritage. From soul and gospel music to jazz, the American story will come to life through song. On the third floor of the tower will be a brand-new restaurant called Atlas. This restaurant will serve traditional American cuisine, but with breathtaking views of World Showcase lagoon and the Epcot park.

Union Rail Runaway facade

Outside of the tower, two new neo-classical buildings will be built. These buildings will mirror one another. On the Italian side of the pavilion will be a reconstruction of the old Penn Station entrance. In here will be the queue for the Union Rail Runaway. This thrilling attraction will take guests on an exciting ride through the American landscape on an old late 19th century railroad. The ride will wrap around the pavilion and end on the opposite end of the pavilion in a building reminiscent of the New York Public Library. This building will also contain the attractions gift shop.
This such an amazing and detailed idea! I think a little more detail on the Union Rail Runaway would have made this perfect! I’m really lovin everything! Awesome Job!

This has got some refurbishments but not a lot of them the guests. You know what that means... Time for a Disney Overhaul!

Backstory

In 1983 a dark ride opened called Journey into YOUR Imagination. The attraction reopened again on June 2, 2002, now as Journey into Imagination with Figment. Figment returned with a larger role, appearing in every show scene. The song "One Little Spark" also returned with new verses, although the Dreamfinder is still absent. Your task is to make a new scene to the ride or gut out the whole ride and make a new ride

Remember!

You can start from scratch or use the existing building.

Stay in the that area and don’t extend the building.
No old or extinct concepts/rides
Maximum of 50 sentences & minimum of 3 sentences
You have till August 14th 7:30 PM PST

Journey into imagination with Dreamfinder
latest

This new ride will bring back the dreamfinder character and will be a reboot of the figment storyline. Dreamfinder flies across his blimp, he greets guests and introduces them to his purple friend, figment. This ride will be a mix of what the three rides main themes: types of art, illusions, and the senses. The arts will be the main focus, dreamfinder will take guests through different genres, western (with a call back to the great movie ride), horror(which will take guests briefly through a spooky castle), fantasy (which will be filled with mythological creatures), and sci - fi (which will be in space full of wonderful inventions and aliens). With a finale scene where guests go through a stage curtain revealing figment singing one little spark with props from the other scenes. The senses will be from effects going on in the scenes, air when the cowboys shoot their guns, wonderful lavender smells in the fantasy scene, spooky noises in the horror scene, and a cool air conditioner in the space scene. Illusions will play a part in the special effects of the rides scenes, just like with Shanghai's pirate ride, there will be a lot of scenes that look real or make you wonder how they did that.
Overall, this ride will bring back the charm and characters of the original ride as well as adding a movie magic feel to appeal to fans of the great movie ride.

Journey into Imagination
UhKfave.jpg

Before I start, I literally cannot pick a better name for an imagination attraction, this one is just so perfect and classic that replacing it would be a crime. That aside, well, aside, I’ll get into the ride.

So a few years ago, Disney purchased Marvel Comics and created a giant cinematic universe featuring their popular characters such as Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Guardians of the Galaxy, among others. However, they did something even better with their acquisition of the company, they created a comic series following two of Disney’s most famous in park creations: Figment and Dreamfinder in the Figment comic series. This attraction will take that series (which is truly fantastic and absolutely needs to be read) and become a sequel to the series, following Figment and Dreamfinder after they save London from the Singularity.

KcdT65n.jpg

The attraction will be gutted but the pavilion building will stay the same. The attraction will go back to the layout of the original 1983 attraction's, but will go from being a standard dark ride to become a trackless dark ride, the second ever at Disney World (considering Ratatouille will more than likely be one) and the second at Epcot. I feel like trackless will give a perfect feeling of fantasy and imagination to the attraction.

The queue itself will be themed to Scientifica Lucida, the academy Blarion Mercuial once worked at. As you pass through the queue you can see hints to older Figment attraction iterations such as a door reading "Prof. N. Channing" as a love-letter to the current version of the attraction. You can also find newspaper, oil pastel paintings, and other references to the Figment comic. The epitome of the attraction's queue will come to an interactive animatronic of the sound sprite Fye, with the head of Chimera peeking in from behind able to interact with the guests, talking about Dreamfinder and Figment and tells us of their legendary inventions.

Guests then reach the boarding vehicle which is supposed to bring you around the academy, but Dreamfinder's Integrated Mesmonic Converter is accidentally turned on and your vehicle is sucked into the portal into the land of imagination. Once there, you meet Dreamfinder and Figment, riding in the Dream Machine who welcome you to Imaginationland. He tells you that in order to get home, you need to reach another portal that will take you back to the Academy.

iDPltZz.jpg

The attraction will take you through the lands of the Figment comic, including the Color Wheel, Mathmagic Land, Audio Acreage, and of course Nightmare Nation, as well as some other new lands such as Art Archipelago. You will come into chance encounters with the Sound Sprites that try to capture you for being impure, a brainstorm, a rescue by Chimera, and a terrifying experience in the Nightmare Nation. Luckily, as you go, Figment and Dreamfinder keep you safe and positive by reminding you that even the darkest recesses of the imagination are just that, imagination, and that you have full control over what happens. As you trek, new verses are added to the classic song "One Little Spark" about the area the rider is in.

The attraction comes to an end where Dreamfinder and Figment help you reach the portal, bidding you farewell to you and welcoming you to return to the world of Imagination whenever you feel. Just simply think about it, and you too will be able to return.

You then exit into a much more steampunk version of Imageworks featuring interactive attractions such as...
  • Dreamfinders: Create your own dream story with the help of Dreamfinder and Figment.
  • Figmakers: Imagine up and materialize your own figment. Get it digitally for free, or save your character and pay to make it a plush.
  • Figment’s Philharmonic: Create melodious music by controlling your own Figment. Play popular Disney songs or create your own melody.
  • Finding Figment: Play hide and seek with Figment in a VR fantasy world
  • Room of Mirrors: An exciting mirror maze on the other side of the Rainbow Tunnel (which of course will return)
Replacing the Pixar Short Film Festival in the MagicEye Theater as well is a brand new restaurant called the Rainbow Garden where you are surrounded by walls where the Imagination world is projected all around you. The food served is imaginative in its own right, but the real winner is the endless ice cream bar where every flavor and topping imaginable is available for the picking to create the best sundae imaginable.

With that, we end Journey Into Imagination (with some extras). Thanks for reading!

Sounds very fun and cool. I'm really interested in how the Shanghai Pirates style/idea would fit into the building and look inside the ride! Great Job!

Pixar Pier has just opened but it is not getting any good responses. You know what that means... Time for a Disney Overhaul!

Backstory

Here is the backstory of Pixar Pier. The area opened as Paradise Pier in 2001 along with the rest of the theme park. A new attraction, Toy Story Midway Mania!, opened on June 17, 2008. The attraction was the first in a series of upgrades to the land and park as a whole. This was followed by changes to the Sun Wheel to become Mickey's Fun Wheel, removing the ears of the Mickey head behind California Screamin’s vertical loop, and new Games of the Boardwalk in 2009. In 2010, World of Color and Silly Symphony Swings were added. To complete the Paradise Pier makeover, Disney opened Goofy's Sky School and The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

Part of Paradise Pier was re-themed as Pixar Pier, which opened on June 23, 2018.

You can pick and combine any of these tasks
  • Add a new Food Booth
  • Replace a Food Booth
  • Make a new tunnel for the Incredicoaster
  • Fix a tunnel in the Incredicoaster
  • Make a new Pixar drink
  • Make a new Pixar food item
  • Make souvenirs
  • Make a new shop
  • Make a new ride
  • Replace a Bing Bong Sweet Stuff
  • Feel free to make 2-3 of your own tasks!

Advantage
Whoever wins this round will get the Hitchhiking Ghosts Advantage ! This means make your answers detailed and great as possible!

This will be laid out differently than most, since I have a whole list of things I want
1. Replace the baby jack jack on stick with a tunnel showing projections of jack jack instead. Have him do fun things like multiplying and disappearing as well as new audio.
2. Angry dogs will be replaced by Bao Dumpling house, which will be filled with chinese food, but it's specialty is surprisingly good dumplings.
3. Pixar pier will be expanded to a bit of paradise park. Goofy's sky school will be replaced by Party of the Dead, a coco boat dark ride through the land of the dead as they have a big party. It will be DCA's answer to pirates of the caribbean.
4. Bing Bong's sweet shop will be replaced by Al's toy barn, a smaller scale replica of the one seen in the movie, completely filled with pixar toys and merch.
5. New pixar pier merch will include small scale versions of the pizza planet arcade games you can bring home, the return of Disneyquest's Sids create-a-toy, where guests make a toy on a computer, print it out, and the clerk at Al's can recreate it, and some new pixar home decor so guests can make their room look like what is seen in the movies.

Pixar Pier Overhaul
GpgWYGL.jpg

To say that Pixar Pier opened to iffy reviews is putting it nicely. The overhaul felt rushed and uninspired, simply replacing the already worst part of California Adventure with an even more mediocre version of itself. Well, as we know, Disney really wants to push Pixar, so it seems that another addition, a phase two perhaps, to Pixar Pier was in line. Well, phase two includes a few things:
  1. The removal of multiple food locations and attractions
  2. An overhaul to the Incredicoaster
  3. A new shop, more new restaurants, and a few new rides
  4. Incorporating Paradise Gardens Park into the Pixar Pier land.
Here are the attractions and food locations leaving Pixar Pier & Paradise Gardens Park
  • Golden Zephyr
  • Goofy's Sky School
  • The Little Mermaid- Ariel's Undersea Journey
  • Angry Dogs
  • Senor Buzz Churros
  • Poultry Palace
So with that out of the way, let's get started.
ig2chHW.jpg

Luxo Jr's Fun Wheel
PThe removal of all of these attractions have allowed for an expansion or overhaul to all of the areas included. Pixar Pal-Around will not be rethemed, but the Giant Mickey face on it will be replaced with the Luxo Jr. Ball. It will also get a new name as the Pixar Pal-Around isn't very good in my opinion. Instead, it will be called Luxo Jr's Fun Wheel.

IncrediCoaster
The IncrediCoaster is really the saving grace of Pixar Pier. The attraction isn't terrible, but it will be getting some touch ups, including better sound as well as painting the entire coaster red, orange, and black, to better fit The Incredibles' color scheme.
FnWGHCs.jpg

Spirit of Adventure
Adventure is out there! But out there of course is at the former home of the Golden Zephyr. The attraction itself barely changes, but the balloons will now resemble the Spirit of Adventure blimp from the film "Up" with a sound overlay featuring Dug and Russell giving safety instructions.

Wall-E's Space Flight
The Old Goofy's Sky School will be enclosed in a building and made to look like Space. The attraction will remain similar with Wall-E and Eve projected onto the wall flying around with Wall-E's fire extinguisher as the ride vehicle turns with the characters.

Nemo's Big Blue World
A more complicated overlay, instead of following Ariel in Ariel's Undersea Journey, this ride will follow Nemo, Dory, and Marlin as they journey home from Sydney back to their anemone after the events of the first film.

me0BPtg.jpg

French Fry Forest
Replacing Angry Dogs is the French Fry Forest from the film Inside Out. This was an obvious nod in the film for a perfect snack location in a park, especially on a pier.

Papa's Chicken Coop
Replacing the Poultry Palace is from the film The Good Dinosaur. While still serving the beloved turkey leg, it will also specialize in fried chicken, chicken tenders, and other chicken delicacies.

Mama Coco's Hot Tamales
Replacing Senor Buzz's Churros is another Mexican quick service serving tamales, empanadas, nachos themed to the hit film Coco.

7B97bU2.png

Al's Toy Barn
The new specialty shop of Pixar Pier of course has to be Al's Toy Barn. Featuring gifts and curios from all of the pixar films (barring Cars as that has its own land).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 8:17 : Got some of the picture to work. My map still isn't working.

Pacific Pier

One of area of California that has never truly been represented is the city of San Francisco, with Pacific Pier, Pixar Pier will be rethemed to showcase the beauty and majesty of the Golden Gate, this new area will be renamed to Pacific Pier. Pacific Pier will be centered around three sub-areas; the largest of these will be the Golden Gate. The other two areas will be San Francisco Harbor and the Presidio.

The Golden Gate

golden-gate_web.jpg

The Golden Gate section will be the section of the park that formerly contained the core of Pixar Pier. The bridge leading from the new San Francisco harbor area to the Golden Gate will be modeled on the Golden Gate bridge. The Incredicoaster will be covered in a mountain range becoming a dark coaster. The theming will be changed slightly as now the Parks are chasing throughout the mountain looking for Jack Jack who has escaped Edna’s compound at the base of the mountain. The base of the mountain will also form the pier surrounding Paradise Bay. This pier will feature many of the same offerings as before, but be rethemed to a post-modern architectural style. Midway Mania’s exterior will be rethemed to match this, as will the other attractions. The Silly Symphony Swings and Golden Zephyir will be added to this section as the mountain range will cut it off from Paradise Gardens Park. The light Pixar theming of attractions and food carts will remain, but not the sole focus of the land.

San Francisco Harbor

ferry-building-port-of-san-francisco-with-square_free_stock_photos_picjumbo_DCIM100MEDIADJI_00...jpg

Directly facing the golden gate will be the new San Francisco Harbor area of the park. Already many pieces of this area are themed to San Francisco but now the entire area will be themed to downtown San Francisco. The anchor piece of this new area will be the San Francisco Ferry Terminal, here the trolley of Buena Vista Street will stop and loop back. The exterior of the Little Mermaid’s attraction will be rethemed to its original appearance, it will once again look like the Palace of Fine Arts.

Presidio

taste-catering-exclusive-venue-walt-disney-family-museum.jpg

The area formerly know as Paradise Gardens will be rethemed to the Presidio. This area will feature Spanish Colonial styled architecture and celebrate the mission history of California. Goofy’s Sky School will be rethemed as WWII American Air Force training video, this will bring to life the artwork and propaganda made by the Disney studio during WWII. The Jumpin Jelly Fish will be replaced with a new show building designed to celebrate the life of Walt Disney. This show will feature an Audio Animatronic of Walt himself. The first act of the show will follow an edited recording of Walt’s famous interview with Fletcher Markle, the second act will celebrate Walt Disney’s last dream; EPCOT. Following the recordings available, Walt will explain his dream for a city of tomorrow. The show building will be themed to the exterior of the Walt Disney Family Museum and will partner with the Museum to showcase work and artifacts from Walt’s life.

I really like the idea where you can make your own toy! I think guests would have a great time. I agree that the Jack Jack scene needs a tunnel because you can not see the babies on sticks at all. Great Job on the rest of the ideas too!
