As some one said earlier there motto is they dont have to be nice, a mantra that is practiced perfectly by all their staff.

This is opinion based on the FACTual experiences i have had. Though Im an imature 40 something.

I must say, I have been to Universal once. It was during Horror Nights, which was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. I ust agree though, there wasn't a nice worker there. Everyone was just there, not happy, not pleasant, not once did I hear have a nice day. Thank Goodness the trip was free, I'll never go there again. This was when they were building IOA. The only other thing I liked about Universal when I was there was that you could buy a souvenier mug and have it refilled for cheap anywhere in the park. Don't know if they still do this though. Wish Disney would do that. It sure would save on their trash and expenses that way. They make enough on pop to refill them fairly inexpensively.

Shrek has the 2nd highest animated box office total of ALL TIME. I think that means a bit more than one week of Kangaroo Jack at #1. And the fact that 'it clearly isn't' original is your opinion. A heckuva lot of people went to see Shrek and had no problems with its originality. Disney, on the other hand, keeps putting out the same formulatic movies to theatres, rehashes its classics with lousy direct-to-tape sequels, and people aren't interested anymore, as the box office numbers for its recent releases show.

So that being said...Titanic must be the best movie ever made...(as well as your favorite) correct?

You're telling ME? I had such high hopes for "The Man in the Iron Mask", I mean, they had 2 Leos to play with! But alas, it wasn't meant to be...

When your backs against the ropes instead of coming up with a logical rebuttal or another good argument you have to attack the other person. I guess you are a true Universal fan. No orignal thoughts, just bashing something that is superior. Let's just leave it as at. Before anyone gets kicked off these boards.

I'm not trying to take anyone's side here, but I just want to point out that you are sounding as bad as he was originally when he was rude to you. A different opinion does not make anyone wrong, they just happen to have a different opinion. Telling him that he has no original thoughts is just as bad as him telling you that you are a child.

So, lets all try to get along without attacking each other please!

True. I might have resorted to that. I'm better than that. However, I wasn't saying he was wrong for having his own opinion. He can have his own opinion. I was saying he was wrong when he said Shrek being unoriginal is not fact. I should have said this earlier but I didn't because I couldn't find support for it but ... I read an article when the movie came out and the creators behind Shrek said they knew it was not original but it would be fun for people to watch. I have been trying to find that article but so far no luck. But if the creators are saying it's unoriginal then that stands as fact. But everyone is perfectly entitled to their own opinion.

Ok...guys remember that Universal isn't really the one bashing Disney. Shrek the movie itself bashed Disney in many ways. They are just staying true to the film and, believe it or not, this is the charm of the film.

Am I the only one that didn't like Shrek for the because I didn't like the story???

Not at all! All parodies aside, I thought the story was highly predictable. Even if the parodies weren't in it- I probably STILL wouldn't have enjoyed it.

I have never experienced a rude production crew member at Universal. I have had some bad experiences at Disney though to tell you the truth. And don't get me wrong I think the cast members at Disney are amazing but I feel that the production crew at Universal seem to be more geniune and "real".

I have the exact opposite experience.... I've actually witnessed a universal employee on the clock, in guest view, yapping away on their cellphone while a line is forming.

Then again... after the new batch of Disney CM's I've witnessed recently... it makes me wonder if customer service is down in all industries...

I wouldn't go that far honestly... when I went to test drive the Lancer Evo, the salesman was really cool and laid back. He didn't pressure me at all, and in fact we shot a couple of hoops after the test drive (they had a mini B-Ball court in their service garage). That guy can sell me a car any day of the week. There are still those who care about customer service, but their numbers are slowly shrinking, as veterans leave and they're replaced by a generation weaned on the almighty dollar.

Oh well.... I'm still here.. lol. the worlds youngest fossil..

I guess you're right- every now and then you stumble upon fantastic service- but then you always seem to remember the bad instead of the good. But I think I'm thread drifting, so I'll stop now...:zipit:

Now you're not Rob... I got you beat by a couple of years.

You know I don't care a great deal about money... I joined the military.

And in the response about rude Team Members (Uni's version of CM) from the poster who had only gone to HHN:

It's Halloween Horror Nights. Rob and I can both speak for the fact that that is made to be a completely different themepark experience. We are there to scare you then... so the rudeness is kinda anticipated. Don't mean to sound rude, but I just wanted to stand up for Uni on that one thing.

I meant I went during them, but I was there all day as well. In fact, we were on a VIP Trip. We had free admission, free hotel, free passes for the HHN and then a party with FOX TV show stars. We were there for 4 days. The HHN was fabulous. The people working were wild. It was a great time, I said that earlier. It was during the day that many of the workers there were rude and all around unpleasant to be around. I am spoiled I suppose from years of DIsney, but they were overly not pleasant. During the HHN, it was great, I didn't see any of the workers I had seen during the day that I knew of. It was the scariest, eeriest thing I ever experienced. I loved it, but would never pay to go there.

yes I think their real too, UK real, as in obnoxious, self centred , poorly trained, badly motivated only here cause I want some shims (money). If I wanted srrley staff with a ________ poor attitude Id have stayed at home.

But again what do I know.
