I'm actually kind of shocked that they haven't turned the boat into a storytime with Tiana set up? I know that a lot of people aren't familiar with The Princess and the Frog, but this seems like it could go in that direction.

I find the riverboat to be a bore after the first 10 minutes. This adds some interest to it. Will I do it? Nah, these desert parties are not my thing, but I can see this one being popular.

I just wished they had gone with their other idea for a Riverboat Upcharge party. You guys would have

Didn't they also have this issue when Tiana's Showboat Jubiliee happened in 2009 where they used the boat for a few shows and then a M&G down on the river itself?

Okay. So I get why people hate this. I do. But this is the only dessert party that has ever even seemed slighly appealing to me. It's a shame that it will cut down on capacity for the ride tho

I kinda like the idea too. The price doesn't seem too bad, and getting to watch the parade from the riverboat seems pretty cool to me.

Something like the last 2 hours of the night it would be a "private party" with a Dixieland Band, cheese, meats, and....(gasp) wine and beer. For something like $250.
That would bother me less. Correct me, as I'm likely wrong, but the riverboat typically doesn't run long after sunset, at least it doesn't during the winter months. In which case, the normally idle riverboat would have a use, albeit for an upcharge.

Actually, an adults only beer, wine and appetizer 2 hour cruise on the river with a Dixieland band and a "stop" for rooftop viewing of Wishes sounds pretty darn cool. I would not drop 250/person on it, but 250/couple would tempt me!

$50 for ice cream? That better be some high butter fat content freshly made ice cream!

Keep your boat and parade. I'll go spend $8 at Ample Hills.

None of the desert parties have food that is equal to the price you are paying. You are paying the extra for the exclusivity and viewing area. Last trip was the first time I did a dessert party, Star Wars, and we really enjoyed it, it was something different to do and the price didn't really bother me.

Will someone remind again on how many Dessert viewing party are there in WDW? are they even losing money and they needed to do this lame parties? i mean i know it wont effect some guests, but from what i'm seeing is that WDW is slowly making everything an excuse to make an exclusive party.

I means what's next an upcharge toilet? with washlet and free Wi-fi

Aren't Tiana and Navene in Festival of Fantasy? For character integrity's sake, I assume that they're disappearing from the event during the parade?
It says in the release that they join up after the parade. So people will board, watch the parade, then the boat will set sail with the characters. I assume the food will be served throughout.
