Clearly the emphasis is on expanding the other 3 parks to distribute the crowds first for a better guest experience. And I don't mind charging for special adds. Doesn't harm me in the least. The cabanas are clearly a test, for example, and if successful I would guess something more permanent and less intrusive would be built. I love that Disney is always trying new things. Shows they are still innovating. Very Epcot of them.

Of course it doesn't harm you, you don't go in the parks. :)

Lets do the math. 3 hours, sailings every 30 minutes, max capacity of 300 per trip so that's potentially 1800 guest experiences or the operational throughput of one hour of Space Mountain or Jungle Cruise.ridership.

Personally I have never seen the riverboat at capacity so the potentially impacted number would be significantly less.

When was the last time you were in each park?

I am afraid to answer because apparently if you have not been within a certain timeframe you can't comment on these boards. But I will say I started going the year the MK opened and have been through the gates of the 4 parks numerous times. Easily triple digits. But let's not make another thread about me. Thanks.

Yeah, I wasn't under the impression that the riverboat was a must do for many. You should have plenty of time to ride it before after the tiana party if you are interested. It's not like they're closing something packed like splash mountain. This is more along the lines of closing the Treehouse for a fireworks party.

That being said, I think this is overpriced for what it is, but I've never done a dessert party so i don't have any frame of reference.

I rest my case, you haven't been in the parks for a long time if at all.

Do we really have to have these incredibly annoying little JT squabbles almost every single thread...

Thank you. No we don't.

As for this add, I appreciate all the innovation taking place. It is voluntary. No harm, no foul. Plus dessert! Yum.

Honestly, I'm kinda in love with this both from a business and a customer perspective. They are leveraging a ride that is rarely at capacity for a special event and it gives you a more comfortable place to watch the parade.

I have never seen FoF because I have no patience to crowd and push and shove and eventually have my sightline blocked by someone who thinks a 12inch iPad raised over their head is the perfect way to capture this magical memory. And if you say anything to them, you are ruining their precious snowflakes most magical day.

So heck yeah, I'll pay $49 to watch the parade with only 299 other people on the Riverboat.

So...dessert at 1 O'clock? Too early, imho. Assuming this is for the 3 PM Parade? Or is this for a night time running of FoF?
