Upstate New York and New Orleans fit well together? Or am I missing the sarcasm?
I know that "country" can have many meanings, but the heavy drawl of CBJ seems to me to mean "The South."
Don't know why it wouldn't fit with New Orleans.

Splash was never the Frontier, either.

Lots of things are empty at MK.
Amazing how they'd sooner spend billions tearing up the RoA on all sides before reopening any existing spaces.

This makes a lot more sense to me than creating a 4th version of the Jamboree from scratch.
Heck, I'd sooner they'd run the Xmas version year-round than have the WDI of 2023 write a new Bear show.

People won’t flock to MK/WDW for a Stitch replacement like they will for the Coco/Encanto & Villains expansions. Simple as that. Plus merch & F&B sales from these new lands will be ridiculous. Especially if they put in a villains bar.

They're adding these things for (presumably) the sake of capacity.
If that is the issue than there's plenty of other ways to accommodate the park's crowds too.
Obviously new things will draw in people, but that shouldn't be the only solution. Too much of MK's expansion/additions since 2010 have not made the best use of their space and existing facilities continue to be underutilized or ignored.

I mean it's basically the announcement that was made at the D23 Expo with the same level of conviction that D'Amaro made it.

You're right, Adventure, Frontier, Fantasy and Tomorrow are specific terms.
Riverfront Square would have a unifying theme of how our country expanded along the river banks and still very likely tie back to the Mississippi and Colorado Rivers.
I'm not sold on Square. But I like Riverfront.

Without getting into politics/veracity/etc., I would bet anything about how America expanded would be flagged as potentially problematic. I agree there is a potential theme there. I simply wouldn't anticipate current Disney to use it. (Let alone the usable IP catalogue there is more limited as well. By way of example, I don't see a Pocahontas attraction in this area, even though it is very much part of that story...)
