Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
1955 called, they want their stereotype back.

I truly feel sorry for anyone today that believes a woman's place is in the kitchen. There is maybe a small, small fraction of people that feel that way today maybe, but for the vast majority of people that thinking is long gone.
As someone who lives in the bible belt... I can assure you... It's not as small as you think.

Maybe compared to the average mega-city/city numbers... But jumbling up all of the small, rural towns across the southeast together into one big glump.......Yeeeaaa.... lol

Sad thing is that they could have saved a but if time and effort had they simply reshaped it into a cypress stump. Maybe add a few cypress knees.

Maybe that is what it will become. :)

I wouldn’t call it bland. If we didn’t know—and have some attachment to—what was there before, I dare say many of us would quite like the design of the attraction as represented in this model. The only thing that really doesn’t work for me is the crown on the water tower.
That stump added the illusion of height.

The original design had the stump replaced with Mama Odie’s treehouse.

So yeah, if the final design is as bland as Mayo on white bread.

It also tells me that the “ers” (imagineers with a woeful lack of imagination) in charge of this didn’t see any of actual New Orleans past the touristy areas, because there’s a place at the intersection of I-10 and I-310, just west of the city with plenty of dead and broken cypress trees thanks to the saltwater imbalance.

It’s currently being rehabilitated to see if we can bring back the vibrant marsh.

But how fitting to the whole “salt mine” theme it would be to feature a cypress stump atop the mountain?

Even though the area appears foreboding, there’s actually life flourishing there; LaBranche is home to a nesting Bald Eagle population.
