If there is not a D+ special on the making of this ride coming out in unison with the ride opening, then Disney has no idea what it’s doing.
Worse than that. They realize it is more valuable to put things on Youtube and get revenue that way.

What museums are you going to!?What do you mean? Disneyland is often cleaner than the museums, which are often dusty or dirty, or glass cases are fogged up and covered in handprints.
What museums are you going to!?
A visit to the Disney Family Museum could give someone many ideas of what Disneyland could be!
I think that Disneyland Park should be a museum - certainly anything that remains from Walt’s time. Within reason and practicality of course.
Agreed. I also felt like the quote was about wanting to plus the park, not radically change it. For example, he wanted the jungle cruise to change and get better. The additions and changes they have made to jungle cruise are a perfect example. The guy was fine with nostalgia and revisiting anyway. Anyone who uses that quote the way they tend to in company and on these boards forget that the most famous first land you ever entered through is based around a rose-colored version of the past of the man's(and many other's) childhood.
Main Street USA in concept is a living museum of American Spirit optimism.
Guys, come on! Walt Disney would LOVE everything that they were doing to the parks right now! He knew things couldn't stay the same! Companies have to evolve just as times change! Nobody understood that more than Walt Disney!Agreed. I also felt like the quote was about wanting to plus the park, not radically change it. Guys you realize if they didn't change things there'd be no reason for anyone to go back? It'd be a one-and-done if they didn't change things. Go, ride things, and if they don't change, why go back and ride them again?
And yet check out the lines for Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean…Guys you realize if they didn't change things there'd be no reason for anyone to go back? The pink lights hidden within the water Lilles will look stunning in this lightView attachment 780258View attachment 780259View attachment 780260View attachment 780262View attachment 780263View attachment 780264View attachment 780265View attachment 780266View attachment 780267View attachment 780268
And lastly, the nighttime lighting.
The lighting around the Bald Cypress trees seems final now, with a mix of blue and purple. This is undoubtedly the best it has looked after seeing them all in-person. This combo is the perfect brightness and looked gorgeous.
There are green fireflies in the trees as well that occasionally light up and are a perfect touch to the area, they really nailed the look on this section, including the water tower.
The orange on the water tower really makes it stand out, but isn't too bright. I love the combo between the blue and purple on the trees, and the orange on the water tower.
The light that was on the top tonight 100% seemed like a test. It was one big light sitting on top of Critter Co-Op aimed directly at the top and right side. I do not expect this to be the final look, especially since we saw many variations of the trees before the final look we have now.
Is the main part of the mountain going to be illuminated that brightly?View attachment 780258View attachment 780259View attachment 780260View attachment 780262View attachment 780263View attachment 780264View attachment 780265View attachment 780266View attachment 780267View attachment 780268

Very doubtful - I remember seeing Avatar lights test while at the Nomad Lounge - the trees were bright blue. They looked cool but also way too bright. I’m sure everything is being tested and adjusted right now.Is the main part of the mountain going to be illuminated that brightly?
I have heard 6/10 just the other day.6/9 is what I’m hearing. Media previews.
I think it'll be a pretty funny moment to have Mama Oddie chuckle as you fall off a waterfall, honestly fits her character. Loving, slightly sassy, slightly sinister.
Indisputably a different vibe, but not necessarily a bad one.
