It would vary quite a bit, but yeah it could often appear brownish. Especially when the water was more still and had been standing for some time. This one is quite murky for instance-

Sometimes it would appear more greenish, or blue when it was particularly sunny and reflecting the sky at certain angles. Like I said though, there's probably an excess amount of sediment/dirt that is still floating around from construction. So once it circulates and filters through normal operation, it will probably settle and appear less murky brown.

One question I have though is whether that lone water lily in the photo you posted has always been there. I can't remember seeing it before and it doesn't appear to exist in this other image...

These are a bit weird to me because they have stylized labels, but they don't have a company name. It would make more sense if they were all in the same font if they're supposed to be something a company or whoever labeled themselves for inventory/tracking purposes -- if they're supposed to be from outside suppliers then they should have fake company names to fit the era.

More details:

Byhalia the Beaver – Byhalia doesn’t just build dams; she helps build musical instruments using natural materials from the bayou. As a strong-willed percussionist, it’s safe to say Byhalia is the heartbeat of the band, as well as a natural designer and engineer.
Just FYI -- beavers are considered destructive pests in Louisiana, and can be dispatched using prescribed means by landowners and duly authorized representatives.

I have to say, I think I'm most intrigued about how the load station will look. There is (or hopefully not, *was*) a great amount of theming there with building facades and lamps and towering rock work. And to my knowledge, we have no renderings of what that will look like yet....
I have a feeling it will look fairly the same but with added mardi gras flags or banners/beads hanging across...

Disney has announced today that 'Tiana’s Bayou Adventure' at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland will be rethemed to new adventures featuring Br'er Rabbit and the stories of the 1946 film Song of the South.

"We think this'll be fun", says Disney CEO Bob Iger. "We're always looking for fun stories, and we think Br'er Rabbit is a great choice".

Guests will be able to join Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear for a splashin' good time on Chickapin Hill when Splash Mountain opens in 2026. Below is the first exciting concept art for this new adventure. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will close on February 31st 2025 at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
