Just FYI -- beavers are considered destructive pests in Louisiana, and can be dispatched using prescribed means by landowners and duly authorized representatives.
In other parts of N. America, they're being specifically reintroduced in specific areas to create their ponds which recharges the underground reservoirs and re-green areas that human have left an arid wasteland.

The news you have all been waiting for... lights at the splashdown area!

There's more markers on the left side for more final touches to be done there as well.

No Imagineers riding today but logs were cycling the whole hour I was there.
What is that wrapped ball looking object?

I wish they'd have "toonified" some of the more realistic elements a scosche to better tie-in with the critters inside. It'll be interesting to see how well the end result gels together. And is it just me or could they afford to hang a few more colored bottles at the top of Mama Odis tree cave thing?

I don't know, it worked well with Splash to have it less cartoony on the outside than on the inside. If they made it too cartoony, it would really clash with its surroundings.

It is some sort of prop/sign. There is an object in the same location on the D23 Model for Disneyland's. I can't quite make out what it is supposed to be, exactly though.
