Indeed, try several billion. Diagon Alley was estimated at somewhere around $400 million.I doubt that Splash redo costs the same as Epic…
I'm going to guess this part is incomplete, because if it is complete then what an oof.
This thread will serve to update on construction progress, new storyline details, and other details specific to Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Any posters who strays off topic will have their post removed and may be banned from future participation.
And that was in a sea of otherwise extremely depressing (but also fairly accurate) negativity. One constant i've heard from most people is that Tiana should at least be "impressive" in regards to a lot of the details that fans of Splash (and other classic attractions similar to it) value. I'm also no longer particularly concerned about the animatronics situation (quality or even quantity) being a disappointment given what I've heard and what plenty of others have said.adding this here as pheneix stated in his rumor and musings thread:
Btw. The Tiana ride will be quite elaborate. Lots of animatronics. Most are not cheap. They did some follow thru on using all that ride path to tell a story of… something. It’s gonna have some cool tech. The big drop is still there.
The technical prowess and production value I anticipate will be very good. Ppl who say it’s a cheap overlay are wrong. To a point. I’ll touch that one later.
Maybe not, but they are amazingly good, especially for a theme park foodThese beignets can't hold a candle to the ones at Cafe Du Monde in real NOLA.
At least this is one good thing to come out of the switch to Tiana's mountain. They are back? I don't ever remember" Tiana's Famous Beignets" tm in the magic Kingdom before...
but it is in the old McDonald's French Fry hut...lol Not connected to Tiana Mountain at all....The winning idea would have been putting a Cafe Du Monde style eater actually within the Tiana's Food Co Op Salt Mine and Foods Factory courtyard area...to tie it all together... Or to just make Tall Tale Cafe over into Tiana's Palace and retheme that whole corner to New Orleans riverfront.... Until they can move the real Frontierland to the "Beyond Big Thunder" plot, it is just going to be a strange mish-mash thematically. At least this is one good thing to come out of the switch to Tiana's mountain.
They could have brought the beignets no matter what. Tiana's Foods doesn't ACTUALLY make beignets, despite how it will smell in the loading area!At least this is one good thing to come out of the switch to Tiana's mountain.
