As someone who likes some Blink 182, just no. If they wanted to make it a 'must do' for Milennials and Gen Z, it's Swift.
It currently features a band from a half century ago that is about to embark on a farewell tour and there is always a long queue. I don't think they need her to make the ride a must do. Actually, a strong argument could be made that it would be a waste of money.

I don't think it's meant to be the focal point, for the very reason you say. Obviously the drop will call attention to itself the way it always has.

It seems clear that the point of the water tower is much more about establishing a different sense of scale for the Salt Dome than there was for Chickapin Hill.
The tweet that Disney Parks called it a centerpiece. Honestly I think it's just marketing buzzwords but in practice what will grab most people's attention will still be the drop.

Agreed I think the main issue with trying to make the focal point of Tiana's Bayou Adventure the water tower is its a static object. More often than not people are drawn to movement, so even if the water tower is front and center a lot of people are still going to look at the drop.
Or to the largest structure.

As someone who isn’t a fan of the retheme at all, it’s a bit unfair to judge a project that’s over a year from opening on how it looks.
I agree. Splash was my personal top rated attraction combining factors of theming, fun and ride length and I hate the decision to retheme it. However, it could end up matching the quality of SM and, since I've never seen The Princess and the Frog, it doesn't really matter to me what does or doesn't match the movie. I never saw Song of the South either. My only connection to it was that when I was a kid my mom bought a soundtrack on vinyl record that had Robin Hood on one side and Song of the South on the other, or at least "Zippity Doo Dah" was on there so I assume it was all SOTS on that side. Therefore, SM was basically a stand alone attraction to me as this will be.
