Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Don't single riders enter at the exit? I doubt they will have 3 separate lines weaving through the interior queue.

The third sign is probably standby wait time or LL return time, not single rider.
I could see them not wanting to clog up the exit anymore with single rider and creating a proper single rider line at the entrance.

Well, go watch a video of the full queue. It's barely wide enough to accommodate standby and LL let alone a third option. I'm also pretty sure there are no other shortcuts to the loading area from the normal entrance.

I'm pretty confident single rider will remain at the exit, but is a moot point for the moment because it most likely won't exist until the attraction is finished with virtual queue and goes back to normal operation.

Here's a video of single rider, and while you did have to weave a bit through the exiting guests (and the walkways were plenty wide to accommodate that), there was a fairly good sized queue for single rider that was past where riders disembark. I've done it several times and it never felt like it was clogging up the exit.

I don't dismiss that they could have done some queue changes during the update, but I still lean toward the third sign being a wait/return time indicator.

I understand how it worked when it was Splash, I've used Single Rider myself in the past. That doesn't mean they haven't rebuilt/reconfigured the queue once you entered the barn for Tiana to accommodate Single Rider.

Also given that WDW only has two signs for Tiana not three I'm not sure what the third one would be for here at DLR if not for single rider, especially since WDW never had single rider for Splash previously.

So you have Standby/VQ and LL, what would the third one be for in your mind if not for Single Rider?

I've said it twice.

Not sure if this has been spotted yet…or if it’s ‘old news’…probably is but I will mention it regardless -

While I was enjoying a cruise on the Mark Twain today I saw the official Attraction sign for ‘Tiana’s Bayou Misadventure’ in place.
Looks the same as for WDW, maybe a little smaller in scale.
Looked good.

Sorry, no pix…it was a quick look.
I lucked out as the door to the construction walls in that area was open as the Twain sailed by and I could seen the sign clearly.

Also looked like some ride testing was going on earlier today, as I saw the canal flume flowing and also heard ride operator announcements.

Edit - Ah, figured the Attraction sign would be ‘old news’ by the time I could post about it…carry on.

Any new developments on what’s become of the America Sings figures? Did some end up making the cut like was discussed previously? Archived? Scrapped entirely?

It’s probably too late for them to fix, but a huge gripe I have is the lack of actual singing on this ride outside of the finale. There is such a big focus on finding these bands and music, and all we hear is Almost There ripped straight from the movie, disembodied dead Ray, and more disembodied voices for Dig a Little Deeper.

It’s a shame because I actually think the instrumental music is quite good. The ambient nature sounds that morph into Gonna Take You There are clever and the new arrangement for Dig a Little Deeper sounds nice.

Putting the limited motion of the critters aside, having them actually sing would add some much needed energy to the attraction and some variety in what you’re hearing.

How Do You Do and the Laughin’ Place had a ton of unique voices you’d fly by and get snippets of. Imagine instead that it’s one voice and the characters are just swaying to the music. Boring
