Fun fact, Lari the Armadillo was in the car behind Tony Baxter in that traffic jam when he came up with the idea for Splash.Oh no he wasn’t deleted, he was there, always watching.

If you put on 3D glasses and watch the opening day dedication, you can see Lari and Mondo right behind WaltFun fact, Lari the Armadillo was in the car behind Tony Baxter in that traffic jam when he came up with the idea for Splash.
It’s a little known fact that he was a big part of America Sings, but they forgot him there when they were moving the animatronics. They found him boarded up in Launch Bay about a year ago!Oh no he wasn’t deleted, he was there, always watching.
Maybe. I think he’s overrated. I don’t think he holds a candle to any of the Splash Critters. But on his own, he’s pretty cute. He’d probably fit in with the rest of the Splash cast too.Loving all the love for our boy Mondo!

Honestly, can we agree that he is the ONE positive take away from this project..?

popcorn bucket, merchandising push, meet and greet, and movie franchise for mondo immediately
Mondo was probably a deleted character cut for time when they were making Splash Mountain.
Man, I’d love to know what a version of this attraction that stuck closer to the story beats from the film would have looked like. Especially with Baxter consulting. It’s a shame that the very same mindset that led to Splash going away is the same reason that never gave the replacement a chance.
Probably the movie poster image from ‘SotS’ that was still located at DHS.
I visited back in May and was happily stunned to still see it on display on the wall within a Attraction.
I was wondering how long it would take until someone from the ‘Disney committee’ would discover it was still there in plain view.
I mentioned the poster still being present on the Forum within the WDW ‘Tiana’s Bayou Misadvenure’ thread back in May after my visit but specifically did NOT say exactly where it was located.
I knew full well if it was revealed it would be removed, and sure enough someone else apparently ‘found it’ and wasn’t as mindful to take care it naming the location.
Disney folks read this forum daily, and I am not talking about fans….
So watch what you say or share pictures of, kids.
Mickey is always watching…..

I am actually Walt Disney, and I'm very disgruntled. It’s amazing who is on here, and who comes to read our commentary and suggestions.
Not really, I always assumed Disney had some interns from various divisions, and even some Imagnineers, checking out various Disney Fan Sites for an unofficial poll to gauge reactions. It’s amazing who is on here, and who comes to read our commentary and suggestions.
