Wait, wait wait, you've moved the goal post my dude. You posted here almost every day for over a year that you were positive that Disney would be axing almost all if not all AAs except Tiana, Naveen, and Louis and replacing them with screens because they'll go cheap. Even stating that there would be huge gaps of dead space because all the AAs would be gone. Well that is not happening, so now you've changed your tune.Even if new animatronics are added, that doesn't mean the Splash Mountain/America Sings animatronics will survive. There's still a fifty-percent chance most of them will be scrapped.
If nothing else, the Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox animatronics are definitely going to get scrapped. I can't even see them being reskinned. The Brer Bear animatronics might get reskinned as Louis like everyone's been suggesting.
So now that Disney has announced they will be ADDING 16+ new AAs you're now 50% sure they'll be scrapping the old AAs, not even giving them a reskin. And while there is no indication that will actually happen, I have to say so what. If they are replacing the existing AAs with updated AAs AND adding 16+ new ones then that means the attraction is not losing any AAs. It means the attraction is getting ALL new AAs, which is a positive thing. And yes it'll be a little sad to think the original America Sings AAs are gone, it'll hopefully mean the attraction can be more easy to maintain and more likely to have AAs that remain working longer without breaking down.
And finally if in this scenario that you made up in your head about them replacing all old AAs with new ones happens..... It means it won't be done on the cheap!
At this point I'm fairly confident we can call that Jim Hill "rumor" debunked. He either made it up or it was a very very early concept that got thrown out.Maybe the "Louis can't find his trumpet" thing is just a subplot?
