Where it wraps around the back of the facade? As far as I can tell it's the long straight flume between the second lift hill and Slip 'n Falls.

Maybe there was too much light pollution going into that first section to accommodate for new lighting? Extra show space?Kind of odd that they would cover that portion going into the show building.

I could see that being the case.Maybe there was too much light pollution going into that first section to accommodate for new lighting? Extra show space?
I agree with you on that. Going down that drop is real fast, hard to concentrate on show elements at those speeds.I guess it’s possible. Seems like a poor use of resources though.
Splash was daytime and relied on AA's. TBA maybe will start at night and involve more projection.I could see that being the case.
But if light pollution was an issue, was it an issue for Splash all these years?
Extra show scene might be the real answer.

With mansion closing and Splash closed it sort of made me delay my Disneyland trip until they are opened. Very surprised Disney is doing the Haunted Mansion project while this is still going on, some pretty big blows on the attraction end.
I rode the train on Thursday and it appeared to still be open . The sign was still upIs the Briar Patch store still around?
I remember calling for showtimes back in the day. I still remember Otto too.I’ve always been a Disney nerd. Anybody old enough to remember the pre Internet days and having to call Disneyland to find out which attractions were closed? I remember calling as a kid and being so happy when none of the mountains, POTC or HM were closed.
