I haven't seen the parks this dead at night in a long time. Maybe its because they used to close at 10 or 11 in Winter and now they are going till Midnight. Not sure. I enjoyed 5-15 minute lines at the end of day, but rarely have I walked through an entire queue without seeing any other people. Until my two trips this January.
Agreed - I’ve seen it like this in summer even. I remember walking back from Mansion one time and the only other human I saw was a security guard. I also remember riding pirates completely alone…. No other guests to be seen…. Just me and the skeletons! Ha.
My experience as I mentioned is that for the most part the west side is always dead after F! and fireworks (especially if its a weeknight where neither happen). Even in some cases I've seen the east side dead too. Its how I can get in so many rides in the last couple hours.
Yep, my experience with riding BTMRR over and over at the end of the night was actually during a May trip. So agreed it can happen anytime of the year, just more so in January after the holidays I would think.
Every time I've been there, they haven't even been doing Fantasmic. Fireworks, sure, but Fantasmic seems to never be running whenever I'm in the parks.
when Fantasmic was down and they had the jazz band playing on the River as pre-show to Wondrous Journeys it was 100% Disneyland Charm. I do like Fantasmic too though.
Just luck of the draw then. But it still the same, basically after 9-10p the west side empties out whether nighttime entertainment is going that day or not. Its only the hardcore people that stay to the end of the night as most families have left for the day by that point.
That hour after is really the peak. I always do PotC immediately after F! When I get off the area is empty. At some point I will do HM, always, but the rest of the time I sprinkle in Indy, BTMRR, Sweeper Train, iasw holiday, Matterhorn, Alice or PPF. It’s why I’m so frustrated at them closing ROTR and TBA early because they would be on this list. 3 rides (including PotC) are the minimum, 4 is typical, and really good nights and luck get me 5 rides in that time.
