I actually had a dream where they opened up to preview the retheme, and it was literally two screens on both sides of the flume that had a Princess and the Frog logo and some Windows XP Screensavers...

I think I can predict the future.

I feel this way too, but it also motivates me to go back and enjoy what I still like there while I can.

Take the Casey Jr ride. It's wonderful, it's perfect, but with Disney today nothing is sacred and it could be closed at any moment, and possibly without any replacement at all...the track just left to rot. That describes a lot of the parks features today.

There is no attraction that says “Walt” more than Storybookland. Miniatures and trains? I hope they re not that stupid.

Repainting the exterior mostly from the looks of it

Haven't ridden it but I think they were just taking care of the ride system (making sure there was no water damage) and painting the exterior.

The last refurb was in 2020, and it was an unstable mess for the past year (it was down for 9 hours when I went in December), so yeah, ride system was prioritized.

Don't they only reskin animatronics from attractions that have closed?

Then again, I could totally see them yanking Belle out of the preshow and reskinning her.

I think they just mean they might take the same design of AA, but with a new outside treatment (Tiana). Not that they will physically take Belle and reskin her.

The engineering work is already down.

It's a close match, but something tells me they'll want an animatronic whose mouth can move so she can talk to us.

I also don't think they would need the trolley / forward motion. Likely a static standing figure, who moves from waist up.

I am not sure if they will go projection face route, they have a pretty good design with Beauty and the Beast in Tokyo.

If they go the projected faces route, it will be an unequivocal downgrade from what they have now. The BatB animatronics on the other hand would at least somewhat make up for the loss of most of the America Sings animatronics.

Louis would be kind of hard to do a projected face animatronic for. Maybe they could just have his eyes be screens or something.

Speaking of animatronics, I'm still expecting them to trash most of the America Sings animatronics... but, to be honest, I could hypothetically see them reskinning the storks in the Laughin' Place as spoonbills.
