Things that make you cry

Normally not a crying sort of person at Disney, but on this last trip I got really teary eyed at the Fantasmic finale with the boat of characters. At first I was fine, but then I saw Stitch in a very prominent place. Weird as this may sound without context, it did mean something to me. One of my best friends died last summer, and Stitch was his favorite Disney character, and he could do a pitch perfect voice for Stitch. He had many photos of Stitch when he came to Disney World several years prior. So seeing the blue guy waving his flag around, I started crying.

After many, many MK visits, last year we finally experienced the Kiss Goodnight... and it didn't disappoint. Definitely a "verklempt" moment. Plus it's just a great opportunity for photography. I doubt I'll be visiting the MK again *without* staying for the ceremony. There's just something cool and fun about closing the place. Highly recommended.
I had never heard about the Kiss Goodnight. I searched this forum and found a video posted.... wow! I am at home with a tear just from watching the video. I am going to have the family watch this next month, so in person I will have chills & rolls of tears going down my cheek.
Good to know that the emotions are normal for all of us that have been sprinkled with pixie dust! Can you imagine what all of us would look like if we were all at the park at the same times...a river of tears!

Oh, come on. It's not that bad. Figment, for example, is not what it used to be, but the current version captivated my kid to the point where she still sleeps with that figgy doll, and it's the only stuffed animal in 4 years outside of Nala (last trip) she has ever begged me to get her.

The Piggy Bank adventure is ok, considering the mess that is innoventions...

Ok...I'll stop there.

Now I want to cry.

I have to give credit for first learning about the Kiss Goodnight to Tom Bricker (@WDWFigment) and his DisneyTouristBlog... here's the original post: http://www.disneytouristblog.com/kiss-goodnight-magic-kingdom/

I always cried during the finale from the Jeremy Irons version of Spaceship Earth.

That's part of the reason I loathe the current version so much. There's no emotional connection or sense of wonder about it. It's just a crap flash animation of lame scenarios with your head stuck on it.

Ooh, you mean in the future I could actually eat BREAKFAST while watching THE NEWS?!!? OH MY GOD THAT'S AMAZING! [/sarcasm]
