So my wife made veggies tonight while I was smoking a pork tenderloin indirect over apple wood. It came out perfect, tender and moist. The veggies were on the vine or in the ground this morning.
Vine ripe tomato, cucumber, honey glazed carrots, new potatoes stewed in butter and spices, fried squash, tenderloin and a biscuit....delicious.

Steaks on Monday? They were on sale so why not?

Looks excellent, great seating too!

I noticed meat prices falling the last few weeks also. I bought several ribeye bone in steaks an inch thick and about 6x6 inch in size.

I always take a chunk of the suet from the side of the steak and when on the grill I put it on the top of the steak to keep the steak juicy. If I buy fillets I always ask the butcher for. Small pier of suet. Works well also with eye of round roasts and then I ask for a strip of suet to cover top, length of the roast. After roast rests I use the drippings in my Liberty Tree Brown Gravy

I put in an obvious reference to an old SNL sketch on the cheeseburger, cheeseburger photo and nobody noticed. Oh well, maybe I am just showing my age. It was from the 70s after all.
