Didn't snow today but I did make soup.

Coconut Curry Stew with bell pepper, carrots, chicken, peas and sweet potato
I've made it before, but this time added and omitted the changes I felt the recipe needed.
Turned out great and is almost perfect but I need to make it again with a few little tweaks to make it just right.

My “Strong” Island Iced Tea, 2 fried oyster with aioli dipping sauce apps, 2 lobster tail with grilled shrimp over risotto, steamed broccoli and drawn butter mains, and my crème brûlée dessert…yes, I was a bit of a piggy, yet again, this night…!!!!!

That looks tasty. Oddly enough, I've never had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich (only had grilled cheese). Will have to try the ham/cheese grilled at some point.

All of that is good and what's nice its so simple and quick to prepare. I'm an Elvis fan and speaking of grilled , I used to eat one of his favorite grilled sandwiches. His cook was at his beck and call 24/7 at Graceland to prepare him his grilled peanut butter banana bacon sandwich fried in a skillet.

“Strong” Island Iced Tea, buttered dinner roll, frog legs and shrimp tempura apps, beef lasagna, mussels, shrimp, bay scallops and calamari in a sun dried tomato sauce, and bbq short rib, green beans and cheesy potato casserole mains, and a dessert that I can’t quite remember what it was…!!!!!

It was my wife's birthday over the weekend and we were supposed to go out to her favorite restaurant but she wasn't feeling 100% so I cooked instead. We started out with a classic wedge salad, then had crab cakes with remoulade sauce, and then had short ribs over mashed potatoes. And yes, everything was made from scratch!!

I have always heard that the head and collar meat on a fish is the best, so I finally tried it and ordered Hamachi Kama aka Yellowtail collars from Kimonos at the Swan hotel and was impressed and have to agree.

Prosciutto over melon and cheese ravioli apps, fettuccine with marinara, Italian sausage and mushrooms, and bbq short rib with a cheesy polenta cake and bbq beans mains, and a chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream for dessert…!!!!!

Carolyn (DWifey) and I went out to Red Lobster tonight for Ash Wednesday…!!!
We both had the shrimp “trio”, which, in our case, we both ordered all fried shrimp…!!!!!
I started off with a draft Blue Moon, we, of course, had the Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Carolyn had hush puppies with her fried shrimp and I had steamed broccoli with mine…Carolyn was in heaven, as she really loves those biscuits to start, and she adores shrimp…!!!!!
