What is teasing about grabbing a butt the new n-word or something?

You want an example of 'know better' or aweful tastes... Try tom corless (wdwnews today) taking photos of girls behind their back... Posting it on twitter and calling them sluts. That is the epitome of hiding online and having zero tastes

I almost forgot about Scarlett's other child. He is classy, that is undeniable.

@WDW1974 - Any opinion about the news going around that Sony is partnering with Marvel to give the screws to Fox? From what I see Fox was not allowed to produce any toys for X-Men missing out on huge profits from movie tie-ins. Rumor has it Spider Man will/could make an appearance in the next Avengers as a way to play nice so they are not blacklisted like Fox. Your thoughts? Sorry for taking the thread in a different direction.
According to bleeding cool marvel has really had about enough of fox, apparently the plan is to hold the fantastic four property and not a release anything new for those character, as well as put a hold on any re release and digital release of the comics. Supposedly according to bleeding cool they wanna suck the fanbase dry until the films eventually crash so that fox has no choice. Here is a video better explaining it.
6 minutes and 31 seconds in.

Well, bottom line...it really ticks me off that TDO is spending big bucks on an attraction based on Cameron's dippy movie while Expedition Everest's yeti AA is still broken and TDO has made no effort to fix it, apparently because it thinks that, well, the stupid tourists mostly don't notice, so why bother?

That disgusts me no end. That is not the legendary Disney focus on quality and good show. It's a disgrace to Walt Disney's legacy. And I'm not going to support it. I won't step foot in AK again until the damn yeti is fixed. Period.

And frankly, AK is mostly just a zoo. I think it's pretty in places, but overall it's boring. Everest could have corrected that, and so could Beastly Kingdomme. If I wanted to see real animals, I could visit a good zoo, and be satisfied. AK is a squandered idea, and Cameron's dopey kitties are not going to help much. At least that's my take.

Walt liked animals.

His nephew said many times that his uncle would have loved the park.

It is WDW's best park in many ways today.

I stated earlier in another thread that wdw would probably go and pull a NFL construction time line with the boat opening later, and I got chewed out for even suggesting they would do that! LOL

Glad I'm hearing it from someone else who is actually reputable! Thank you Spirit!

By the way, the land clearing from the recent pics of the Avatar area looks like it's gonna be huge! Can't wait to learn more concrete details of the land!

I think that is what fueled the original thing.. but the followup by the females.. I think they really felt what they were arguing was legit. And that just blows my mind they are that freaking sensitive. Well.. I shouldn't be surprised given the other tweets, but blows my mind these people somehow function in the open world.

Then follow ups calling for people to unfollow InsidetheMagic... especially the ones coming from competing podcasters were even more hysterical to read.

I think a good portion of that community is jealous of InsideTheMagic.

They all hate each other. And Ricky is, apparently, only second to the Mongello for freebies and the like from Celebration Place.

I am surprised they haven't ganged up on him and shot him up with Pixie Dust and gals dressed like Anna and Elsa and blackmailed him with the pics and video ...hope I didn't give anyone an idea.:devilish::D:cool:

There is a rush to push Frozen down our collective throats til we gag like a f ...(joke deleted as I don't want the Ricky treatment) and that's why I believe you will see work on that begin as soon as October.

Sorry Soarin (that is the state it is in) is one of the most popular attractions in O-Town. There is no pressure on Disney to do a damn thing (even keep the queue clean) ...btw, at DLR, they still have custodial CMs patrolling queues during park hours to pick up trash.

WDW used to do that ...maybe 15-20 years ago.
If only the rush for Frozen was an actual quality attraction. If this actually goes through and no one gets some sense knocked into them it will just be another one of the brain dead idiotic things WDW has done with Epcot. Btw, after seeing your post about it I finally got caught up with Cosmos. Amazing show. If no one at Disney sees the potential for Future World then I have officially lost all hope.

I'd expect to hear some news regarding something new in a Disney park very soon. Just not a Disney park in North America. Things are heating up in Asia on multiple things.

Don't suppose this has anything to do with a certain movie still being #1 in a certain country? At least they don't have Maelstrom there to overlay...

@WDW1974 What's been bothering me with Ricky lately is that he started of as a family friendly "brand advocate". Then he slowly started branching off to places like Universal and Sea World. I was ok with this since they were tangental to Disney. Then, he went off the deep end. Lately, he has been all about horror and gore, zombies, co-play, sexy haunted mansion maids. He diverted so much from his brand, that he had to create a site within his site just to hold the "off color" content. TO me, that's a problem.

He says the new content is separate, but he retweets it using his personal or ItM twitter account. He posts it with his ItM facebook account. Even thought he says it's separate, I still see it even when I'm not following those "off color" pages. I actually had to BLOCK OutsideTheMagic so I wouldnt see it any more. That's a major branding issue, to the point I almost unfollowed his ItM accounts.

Ricky is just trying to make money, and get swag and free experiences etc. from as many sources as possible. You can not fault him for that. It's smart really. If one thing ruins a relationship and you only have one supplier (like Mongello), then you are screwed .

If tomorrow Disney told Ricky it didn't want to play ball with him, he wouldn't be totally adrift.

Just a question @WDW1974 but when should We expect a 60th anniversary announcement from Disney? It's getting awfully close for not one peep of info yet.

Blue Sky Cellar re-opens July 1st, which is two days before Alice comes back online and is technically the start of the 60th roll-out. So I imagine it goes out on the Parks blog not too long before then or on the 1st.

I asked before but perhaps it was lost in pages on other discussions, but what do you think about Wright walking away from Ant Man, 74? Disney letting good talent walk away in order to have it their way? (insert burger king joke here) Seems mostly over creative differences and rewrites in the script. Who is making the rewrites he didnt approve of?

I believe I remember reading on ain't it cool news that the script had been "dumbed down" with more comedy added to the script. Or at least that's what I got out of the article. I believe Wright wanted to make a more "serious" type of film and it sounded like they camped it up big time with the rewrite...

It is WDW's best park in many ways today.

Which is why it's the least attended and least popular, no doubt. ;)

Still, you're right about Walt's love of animals. Maybe he'd look at AK as a great big fat version of Jungle Cruise. (He originally wanted to use live animals in that ride, as you probably know). But I bet he wouldn't have cut the budget for Beastly Kingdomme or let the Yeti stay broken. Or stuck a dippy movie like Avatar in the park. He'd have wanted his company to come up with something original or use a Disney creation in that area. So yeah, Walt loved animals, he might have loved the idea of AK, but he might not have entirely liked the final product.

Not necessarily. He would just have to use his annual pass and be with us commoners, doing the same things.

Incredible....notice the attire, also interesting was the fact that few children were scene. Appealing to a totally different demo then WDW. Amazing this is somehow connected to an American park. Just amazing. Although this particular ad would never fly here in the states....

You are sharp to notice the attire. Anyone who has been to Tokyo knows they dress to impress there, including a day at Disneyland. Dressing nicely is a sign of respect to both yourself and your hosts, although the Americans schlepping through life in XXL basketball shorts and flip-flops would tell you that's old fashioned and uptight (unless you've never left America in your life and think a date night at a Darden Corporation restaurant is really living).

Yes, the woman a half-step behind the man (admittedly in a sepia-toned retro remembrance of 50 years ago) is a very traditional Japanese view of gender roles. But I'm sure people can value the diversity of other cultures when they see that. Notice that the young couples in the video are 21st century equals, however.

Anyone who has ever been to Tokyo Disneyland knows how perfectly typical this video is, and yet what a shocking reminder of how low the standards for Disney theme parks in America have fallen. On both coasts.

this one makes me want to board a flight there right now:)

Funny you say that. The first time I saw that ad was on a Japan Airlines flight from LAX to Tokyo in '06. After takeoff it played on all the video monitors in the plane with soaring music. I had splurged on Business Class (it's a 13 hour flight, after all) and I was surrounded by conservative Japanese businessmen going home, but you wouldn't have found a dry eye in the entire cabin at the end of that video. The stewardesses were almost sobbing, while us men barely held it together. True story.

Odd, that isn't what I got from the ad at all. It was a way for them to re-discover their youth, and what it felt like when they were first dating. DisneySea is more of a young couple's park than a pre-school park like WDW these days, much different crowd.

BINGO! Tokyo Disneyland is a typical Castle-park for families. Tokyo DisneySea, on the other hand, is more like California Adventure as a second gate in that it's for date-niters and twentysomethings hanging out with friends. DisneySea is ridiculously romantic, especially at night. That's what the ad was reminding Japanese consumers about.

There's no real comparison for DisneySea at any of the WDW parks. Which is more of a shame than many people realize.

Ahhh, diversification. A good idea when investing, a good idea when brand whoring.
