The Spirited Seventh Heaven ...

Sure, JT. You'll be able to experience it in late 2017/early 2018. By then, it will be amazing to see all that UNI has added since Iger announced this in September of 2011.

But I am sure that the blue alien se-x kitties will swat that Potter brat.

I think I need a vacation again!

Don't go to Uni. I hear it is crowded.

I still plan to be at the Pandora ribbon cutting. Gotta go. Soccer to watch. And even another 0-0 tie still has more content than this thread.

Please. They aren't making anyone do anything. If people want to experience both parts of Potter, then they buy two-park tickets. If they don't, they don't have to.

Your analogy is off because Hogwart's Express is going to be maintained unlike the monorail ... oh, and it is an attraction, not simply transportation. In other words, your point is weak and not valid.
UNI is absolutely a better value when it comes to what they are offering for the price of admission (whether the ticket is one day one park, multi-day, or AP) than Disney.
Please don't bring up monorails to him....:cyclops:

Didn't anyone want to know about Pandora?

Probably not given it won't open for years. Not everyone drools over this stuff the way we do.

Oh and it was a presentation on DTD so what are the odds of there being any info on Avatar even if anyone cared?

I will not argue the case of which park is better and which has done more in the past few years. It is clear that Universal has done a great job recently. However to say that Universal is a better value and has done more to improve its value for the money, is clearly wrong. To ride the train Universal is making its customers that they care so much about to buy a park to park ticket. Now this may be something I don't mind doing because in 2015 I will get a 2 day park to park and I have the money, but it is just not right. Not everyone can afford such high prices as a 1 day park to park. Universal is ripping it's customers off on this. I would complain if Disney did this to ride the monorail between the MK and Epcot. It's just wrong and everyone here knows it.

So would you agree that Disney is also ripping off their customers with all of their up charge events? Is it fair to customers who may have paid close to $100 to get in MK, that at 7:00 they have to pay another $60-$70 per person to stay in the park after 7:00 PM.

A supermajority of visitors to Universal Orlando Resort already have the necessary admission. Hardly a rip off.

I don't have the link handy (am too lazy to get it) but I thought Soup and Salad Sandra's story on Potter 2.0 in the Sentinel was ... how do they say it in the business? ... Um ... ah ... oh yeah, workmanlike.

(that means pretty bland)
She's up to Jasons old tricks, soliciting unemployable lifestylers for sound bites.

No offense @Lee

How frustrating it must be to be a Disney imagineer (one that is emotionally invested anyway) and see the excitement and hoopla surrounding the opening of Diagon Alley and the fans throwing money at the company for offering exciting new products to experience.

Not sure about how *frustrating* it is, as i am sure there will be several Imagineers who will likely be there on opening day to enjoy it all.....if some of them have not already.
Many are likely just as excited about it all as Theme Park fans are.
It is always good to see what another team is doing *out there*.

Besides, many of the folks who work over at Universal Creative and helped build Diagon Alley are ex-Imagineers themselves.
I would imagine in some ways, it turns into a little *family reunion* of sorts...old co-workers meeting again and catching up to talk shop.

And while on the topic of ex-Imagineers, and Imagineers going to see whats new at UNI....i can immediately think of one particular ex-Imagineer that will probably be utterly thrilled to visit Diagon Alley.
He will probably want to be one of the first to ride *Gingotts*....if he has not already done so!

:)

I'll give a full report later…

I'm not really sure how to digest what I experience today. It wasn't just the dragon or the AAs or the train itself. It was the entire experience.

Suffice to say if Disney wants to do Star Wars, it has to be to this level.

Just NO SPOILERS. But I want to hear all about your general feelings on everything you saw or experienced.

Looking forward to the report but what you've posted here says a lot already. I really can't wait to see Diagon Alley for myself.
