You mean their people mover?
Does that system go underground? I was once on it but I forgot. They originally wanted it to be part of the NYC subway system but some law there says it has to be part of the airport and independent from the subway. Also, it uses the same propulsion system as the WEDway PeopleMover - the Linear Induction Motor, where magnets on the track push and pull it. It still has steel wheels on steel standard gauge track. It is fully automated. It's the same system that the Detroit People Mover uses, as well as most of Vancouver's Sky Train. I believe London's Docklands Yards is the same too.@PeterAlt I just took the monorail from the train to JFK Airport in NYC. I figured you'd appreciate it since you love the rail travel. Pretty good system!

In Miami here, we have a rubber tire people mover system that has several loops in and around downtown, as well as separate systems at and going to the airport. I like the Miami system because it's a quiet and smooth ride.
@WDW1974 - what do you know about a land transfer from WDPR to RCID over at DTD?
Im wondering if they are creating an Enron situation....
Maybe...but it could be done as a leaseholdNot the person you targeted the question to but I have a hunch this is tied to the parking garages that are part of the new Disney Springs project. Unlike the rest of the space, these are being built by RCID using municipal bonds so the land title likely had to be transferred to them as part of that construction.
Darth Vader is one of the scariest movie characters ever created, Disney using him for comic relief is beyond lame.
I just Youtube'd a video of Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers dancing to MJ's Beat It.Irony is ok... Disney takes it way too far with that abomination dance show they do during sw weekends
Tweet from @PhotoDave219 says MK is <30K guests today. Unheard of between Christmas and NYE. Even with the weird Wednesday holiday, I have to think this gets Burbank's attention.
I don't see any harm in having a sense of humor over it. Universal Studios had tremendous success back in the day with 'Abbott & Costello Meet The Mummy....The Invisible Man',... Et al.
Great. Brace for more cutbacksTweet from @PhotoDave219 says MK is <30K guests today. Unheard of between Christmas and NYE. Even with the weird Wednesday holiday, I have to think this gets Burbank's attention.
Darth Vader is a people-loving person! For example, he gets all warm and tingly when "I haven't felt this presence since my old master..." He shows he's a caring person and compassionate person, too, when he begs for Leah's stay of execution. He's a forgiving person, as he demonstrates by quick promotion of his chain of command. He's a man of his word, who advises prayer when altering a deal. He's a generous father, who offers to save his son (at the expensive of his daughter): "If you don't turn, perhaps she will..."I just Youtube'd a video of Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers dancing to MJ's Beat It.
I had to shut it off 20 seconds in. It was kind of like walking in on your parents doing it. You stand there, frozen, horrified for a few seconds ... and then you run from the room, chanting "I did not just see that. I did not just see that."
Darth Vader does not dance. He menaces.
He does not "get down". He terrifies.
Abomination is not too strong of a word!

Universal. There was backups on eastbound I-4 to exit. Long backups at their auto plazas.
Wowzer. Uni is packed. Wonder why.Tweet from @PhotoDave219 says MK is <30K guests today. Unheard of between Christmas and NYE. Even with the weird Wednesday holiday, I have to think this gets Burbank's attention.
One of the things in life that I am least interested in is the number of guests per day at MK. So, with that said, is 30K good or bad? What is normal?I have no explanation for it. Its a Sunday, raining and in the holiday season.
