I was not aware "Tom" was an insider. Seemed he was just reporting info he'd read elsewhere. Thanks for the update, that first post is confusing if one is not aware.

Funny how this park is still referred to as " The Studios" in Burbank.

I haven't heard of any kind of name change, but that's a pretty silly subject to bring up when there is a lot more going on for the park itself.

Not giving credence to your post but as much as the Insiders and their minions want to not admit it (yes even with separated openings which I detest), AK will be the park to be at after Dark.

Does anyone have any insight on if there are any plans for Commissary Lane? It's kind of in that awkward middle area between Star Wars and Streets where it could easily be converted if they wanted to. Is it going to remain as is or be rethemed somehow?

That's of course if any of what is said in this thread about Star Wars Land/Cars Land actually happens...

I don't get you. You joined in 2007 posted a few posts, didn't act like an insider. Then you disappeared and 2014 comes along and all of a sudden you have inside information. What happened in the 7 years you left this site? Marvel at HS, Guardians of the Galaxy? What, too new. They can't do the Avengers or Spiderman. Pandora a Potter Swatter? You can't swat at something 6 years later. No doubt that it will be breath taking but if they are really opening it in stages it will be another new Fantasyland, nice but construction walls are still up everywhere and it won't look great until it is done in 2019.

A studio is any location that can be used for production (rehearsal, recording, staging, storage, etc.) OR has any portion, no matter how limited, of an administrative staff that is, in some fashion, associated with any sort of production at any locale. No actual filming or similar activity on the grounds is required to call a location a studio.

Technically, one can rig a shed with lights, place a recording device and microphone in a basement, place an easel and palette in a den or stand a camera on a tripod in a garage and call it a studio. OR open a dance or karate class and call the storefront a studio.
