Just something to think about, this storm is about 4 times larger than Hurricane Charley. If it were to hit the State of FL on the East Coast, at one point in time the Hurricane is large enough to cover the entire width of the state with Hurricane Force Winds.
That of course is if the storm keeps the same size it has now. And yes, I said Hurricane Force winds for the entire width of the state. Tropical Storm Force winds would spread out everywhere except the pan-handle. (If the storm keeps the same track it has now) and the intensity and width of the storm stays the same. Of course, keep in mind that once a large storm like this makes landfall, they tend to die off quickly, but when a storm this size hits, it could make it all the way across the state as a Category 3 Hurricane, not counting the fact it would be a Category 4 on the coast.
I know a lot of you are going to say that it's nothing to worry about because Hurricane Charley was in a very limited area. Let me tell you, that if this Hurricane hit where Charley hit, you'd have mass destruction all the way from Tampa to Ft. Myers on the West Coast, and it would cross over the state as well. This is a much larger storm. Keep both eyes open.
