The Dreaded Email from Disney

Did anyone else receive an email from Disney Direct about the further delay of the shipment of our LE Box Set? Looks like it won't ship now until June 17.

If I'm really lucky it will make it in time for my birthday....I won't hold my breath.

Yes, I received the same e-mail. I am not very happy with this. In fact, I think the way that Disney handeled the selling of this LE Boxed Set was very poor. Now we are getting the run around and yet another delay of my order.

Is the LE DL set of 6 CD's with the gold record still available at WDW? I am going to WDW in two weeks and want to get it if possible.

They were available as of last week. Supplies in all the stores were very limited though. I suggest if you really want one call up WDW Merch. Mail Order to guarantee that you get one.

I really need to get this...I was in the World Of Disney store on 5th ave. NYC the other day and they were totally out! I was quite depressed. Especially since I consider myself a collector of this kind of stuff. I have over 200 clips and songs from WDW. Does anyone have any other little known places where I can pick some up? I'm always on the search for this stuff... :)

As much as I love Disney merchandise, getting my hands on one of those LE sets just doesn't strike my fancy. I got the single-disc and it's really good. I think I might get the $99 six-disc set when it comes out in September.

I just got a confirmation email from disneydirect with a tracking number. My order shipped on May 23rd. I checked with DHL Airborne and it seems the order should arrive tomorrow.

The DL set in September comes without the LP's, but does it still come with the book?

Also, is there really anything worthwhile on the WDW set that hasn't been released yet ?

"Welcome Melody" - Main Street Trolly Show
"The Best Time of your Life" - from Carousel of Progress
"Swisskapoka" - Swiss Family Treehouse
"Solo Blues Pilot" - The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm
"Soarin" - Soarin'

Also there are several tracks that have not been released in years, including from attractions long gone!

In all there are 44 tracks on 2 disc, very much worth $24.95

I have been listening to my WDW album non stop since I got home and so far it has prevented Post Disney Depression (so does knowing im going back in like 6 weeks)! I love it! It is a great album and I am glad they put the new and old versions of Tiki room on there. It was well worth the money for it.

And for anyone staying at All Star Music (Im pretty sure probably any disney resort) Some of the stations on resort tv play the album continuously so I didnt have to wait to get home to listen to it!
