Okay. That was just baaaad! I called Disney Dining at 6:30 a.m. CST to make reservations for my brother's upcoming trip in May. This was his 90 day mark. First, I was on hold for 15 minutes and got an agent who was able to make only 1 reservation for me before transferring me to another line to make the rest of the ADRs. In all fairness, she warned me my hold time would probably be "significant". So about 50 minutes later I got agent #2. It took her 15 minutes and numerous trips to Hold-Land just to confirm my brother's resort reservation. Each ADR she checked for me took no less than 5 minutes just to get a yes or no on the availability. One of the days she never got anything to come up with an answer on. The total call time was over 2 hours. I guess it's a good thing I'm a stay-home mom because I don't know how people who have jobs would be able to spend this kind of time just to make reservations. And after the 2+ hour call I can look forward to calling back to try and fill in that one day that would never book anything. :brick:
The long hold time had to be due to how slow the new ADR system is because the agent sure had a hard time getting it to do anything. I just can't imagine how this is an improvement over the old system. I have planned many a trip for myself, family, and friends and never sat on the phone for that long. Insane! :hammer:
