I find it amusing that during all of this, the gal still had on that Mouse Earband.

I’ve never paid much attention but other than bag check I don’t think I’ve ever noticed security at the park gates, the CM’s scanning tickets aren’t security so I’m sure the policy is to just let them in and then let security deal with them once they get there. Why couldn't they question her before letting her in? It would've been a lot less dramatic if they'd stopped her at the gate. Turn her away if she won't prove her kids' ages, which I'm sure Disney has the right to ask, especially since she had a history:
We don't know exactly what transpired at the gate. The CM probably asked about the kids and she probably lied and said they were younger than three and kept moving. It wasn't like your example where a pass was scanned and rejected. She knew she was doing something wrong and pushed forward past the CM in hopes that the CM would assume the kids were young enough to enter free. I'm sure it happened really fast and the CM didn't have time to react, so they signaled a lead or security to take over and check her out so they can continue with their job of letting people in the park, not acting as a self-appointed security guard.I swear I wasn't thinking about this all night but ...
People are asked to step aside and wait all of the time at the gates. Happened in front of me on Wednesday (said they upgraded to parkhoppers but it wasn't showing up). Letting her in because she's making a fuss seems exactly the wrong thing to do.
It's not like she had a visible weapon on her or something. It was a subjective offence. They did the right thing. They calmly questioned her and when she ignored them they kept tabs on her without making a scene until the police arrived. There still wouldn't have been a scene if she didn't get defensive and uncooperative with the cops. They offered her an out.At least where I entered the CMs had to move to allow in a stroller. Forcing her way in would have required pushing the CMs and seriously, if there's not Security at the gates for situations like that then something is wrong.
That's not how life works. This isn't a schoolyard. There's no 10-second statute of limitations on your entry. "Haha I made it in and now you can't do anything about it!". No, that's not how things work. Also, two wrong don't make a right. If they did let her in on a legit pass then they were agreeing that her kids qualified for free entry, i.e. they "played on it." No take-backsies. A confession: I used to look a lot younger than my age and got in on a junior ticket far longer than I should have.
It should also be noted that I believe its being reported that she is a Key holder. So probably thought she should just be allowed to continue to let her kids in for free because she already pays for a Key. Too many Key holders feel they are entitled for more they they get because they pay so much, and I say that as a Key holder. I've seen too many use the "But I'm an AP/Key holder, you have to do ____" to CM all the time. Or my favorite, "I pay your salary".We don't know exactly what transpired at the gate. I'm not sure if you are looking for a way to blame Disney on all of this. I'm no lover of Disney and they do stupid things, but as stated in the article, Disney will try to work with people to keep them in the park. They offered her an opportunity to pay for the kids or peacefully leave. She didn't want to be peaceful, so she left in handcuffs. She wasn't in trouble UNTIL she got belligerent. Up until that point it was "Hey, we believe you did something wrong and we want to question you to see how we can resolve the situation."
She clearly has an entitlement personality and then wants to play victim because she got caught. She was in the wrong, not Disney.
Saw this on Twitter... Is this for real? Or is this an internet funny? It's supposedly new in Bayou Country. Please tell me this is an internet joke and WDI is really not this clueless.

Oh, I'm not complaining that it is themed. Theme is good, but execution matters. The Alice fountain doesn't hit the same way for me. If you don't see it, that's ok. I'll move along.I don't know if that one is real, probably is, but there is one over by the Alice bathrooms themed to Alice -
If they are going to have filling stations I rather they be themed like this.
Sorry I guess I'm just not seeing what you are. In what you posted I see a hunny pot themed drink filling station, with a cute little H2O nod in the theming. If you wanna explain it.....Oh, I'm not complaining that it is themed. Theme is good, but execution matters. The Alice fountain doesn't hit the same way for me. If you don't see it, that's ok. I'll move along.

I kind of like it. Not thrilled with the big puddle of water underneath it though.Saw this on Twitter... Is this for real? Or is this an internet funny? It's supposedly new in Bayou Country. Please tell me this is an internet joke and WDI is really not this clueless.

If that is what this is about, then yes its just the glare. I mean I have a dirty mind, and I saw that at first, but I thought that couldn't be what this is about as its not a real issue.I think due to the glare, when you just glance the photo it kinda reads as “hor - ny”.

Getting caught up on the forum and there's not much good news to be had lately in Anaheim, but at least this made me chuckle...
Police say woman with 2 children arrested at Disneyland after not paying for tickets is a repeat offender
The mother of two arrested at Disneyland this week was uncooperative and refused to comply with requests to provide her identification, authorities said.www.foxnews.com
Or in this case this is an innocent water fountain that had an person take a picture of it intentionally with glare to post on the internet to try to make an issue out of nothing. My sense is that 2024 WDI is a bunch of dorks who probably would need the dirtiness of their own creation explained to them.
