Bluth is a very talented man, and his work in those films is wonderful (don't like Small One, myself). I can't stand Robin Hood simply because it completely wastes their one shot at telling the Robin Hood legend by turning it into a collection of pleasant comedy skits. Pete's Dragon has major script, acting and directorial issues. Pooh is 2/3 fantastic (sorry, Tigger Too). Rescuers is a fine film.

My very favorite Bluth work, however, is the Dragon's Lair Trilogy. Just bought it again, this time for my Nintendo Switch. :D
What about Space Ace?

Robin Hood is hilarious and beats a couple of films ya’ll have mentioned so far.
It's funny and has great character animation and voice work. But every time the plot comes to a grinding halt while the kids argue or act cutesy I just want to go back in time so I can sneak into the studio and plead with the director to keep the story focused on Robin Hood. :D

I think the movie keeps a good amount of time dedicated to the titular character. The kids only have a few minutes of screen time and dialogue. 🤷🏾‍♀️

In other news, an Ant-Man "reimagining" (that's the word they like to use) of the Buzz ride opened in Hong Kong recently. I really hope they don't reimagine the DL Buzz ride in any capacity as I have a particular love for it. And it isn't a perfect fit, but it fits the theme park model over the franchise fluke that they seem to mistake for theme, the same fluke that gives us feces like Pixar Pier over Paradise Pier and a presumably disjointed Marvel Land over something cohesive.

Surprisingly, they put a Buzz ride in Shanghai's Tomorrowland while there's a Toy Story Land next door, perhaps displaying an increasingly rare understanding of theme vs. franchise.

Also Frankenweenie is a great movie you are all clearly just forgetting to praise.

Robin Hood is fantastic if for no other reason than Sir Hiss. It's better than 99% of the new computer animated movies, that's for sure.

You're not sounding much like Bob Chapek.

...it's Friday and I'm cranky being stuck at work.
Though while we're at it...you don't sound much like an egg :)

Jealous because other Bob gets to hang with all the Avengers.

As much as I don't like Marvel, Toy Story has way too big a presence at both Disneyland and Disneyworld. How that franchise has so many rides and its own land is beyond me. Furthermore, Buzz is a ride full of cardboard cutouts that you shoot at. I was never impressed by it.
...you see, there's this wonderful thing called "money" that features greatly into our decision making...

Wasn’t it also the first one to have computer animation?
I recall first watching "The Rescuers Down Under" and thinking, "hey, they just animated a film of that old fellow talking to sock!" during the Joanna egg stealing scene. I do recall there's was some beginnings of computer animation in that one.
Does anyone know if that were acted out for the animators?

In RDU, McLeach's vehicle is computer animated. That egg stealing scene is a kick; if they shot any footage with live actors as reference, I'd love to see it. :D

Francis Ford Coppola’s dream sci-fi film? I thought that was Captain EO. 😉
