I support security in this. Littering to promote your social media is gross.

Yes, this has become an increasing trend. It's popular on the subreddit.

I'm guessing this is a newer thing that's being pushed online, and security is being asked to crack down on it.

This guy is currently at day 150 in a row, his twitter is DisneyScoopGuy. So I imagine he's on their radar for stuff like this.

Security might just need a better way to go about it.

May 22. Ticket sales begin Oct. 22. 😃

Dear Universal Orlando: If ever there was a time for you to do something exceptionally nice to show your appreciation toward your resort’s many local annual passholders… Now would be a really, really good time… Just sayin’…
(Edit)
Dear Universal Orlando: Just got the email re: Passholder ticket sales. Thank you— you rock!🤘

Can't wait for videos on the ground soon, it's finally happening! I'll probably wait a bit to go (and schedule a Disney trip as counter programming if crowds flock to EU like I hope they will!) but I am excited to see what Universal Creative's been cooking.

One thing is for certain, it won't be like opening day at Disney's California Adventure.

The 99 cent store bags people leave around is pretty silly and funny it's to promote their instagram too.

150 visits in a row? Wow. How do people have time for this.

I think definitely security should enforce rules to stop littering around the resort but also should make the rules clear. And the security guy clearly had no idea what he was doing, especially rummaging through the guy's phone.

He didn't litter, he picked it up and was accused of being the one distributing them. I also don't like "pixie dusting".

Lol @ 99 cent store bags. I was about to say if you are going to do this can you at least leave some better stuff? Nobody wants those “Pogs.”

Spent the day in NYC and met Dan Povenmire and Dee Bradley Baker. I didn’t get a picture because I didn’t want to be one of those people but it was still a pretty fun moment.

I'm a big Beverly fan too! I was really expecting something foul from how WDWers described it but it was a really pleasant aperitif (and there were definitely more heinous flavors... looking at you, sour plum...).

Curious how your family would rank the parks so far! I found myself in love with EPCOT and DAK and unmoved by MK (though I took plenty of castle shots).
They didn't like the BBQ-flavored soda (is that the sour plum?), but I thought it would go well with a burger. 🤣

Hmmm... not sure how we would rank them, except I'm pretty sure DHS would be at the bottom of the list. Having said that, Toy Story land is super cute. Slinky Dog is fun, and the whole land felt like "bugs land done right" (well, it could use a tad more shade). It's good that they put Galaxy's Edge in there, otherwise there would really be nothing but restaurants and a stunt show.

*begin old lady yells at cloud rant*
I really hate screen rides. For the love of Stinky Pete, when is this trend going to end?! I forgot my Dramamine on our EPCOT visit and, believe it or not, Ratatouille made me sick! I didn't dare try Mission Space or Cosmic Rewind after that (the family liked both, btw). Screens can be nice to augment physical sets, but making them the largest part of the ride experience or the entire ride experience (looking at you, Star Tours) is frustrating. I did just fine on a very spinning tea cup last night, but stick a screen in front of me and 🤢.
*end rant*

Spent a full day at MK yesterday. Our Disneyland-related hot takes:
  • They have the better Small World (Yes, our facade is better, but their ride and music are better. I despise the character additions to ours.)
  • They have the better Tom Sawyer island. It is unfathomable to me that they are going to pave over the river and island for Cars.
  • Bring back the PeopleMover!!!!
  • We got stuck in the Carousel of Progress. On the app, I noticed that it went down several more times. If they can't maintain it, then it should just go. That's a lot of wasted space there.
  • We should've gotten Laugh Floor to go with Monsters, Inc. to convert the backlot into Monstropolis.
  • Ok, I'm going to get heat for this: We liked TBA.
  • Their Peter Pan queue was fabulous, and who doesn't like a continuously-loading ride system?
  • Storybook Circus was cute.
  • DL cast members > WDW cast members (to be fair, there are a heck of a lot more guests at WDW, so that might be the issue)
  • MK is dirty compared to DL (Again, I think the volume of guests changes a lot.)
5 days of theme parks... We're tired. Good night.

ETA: Just to be clear, the WDW cast members did their best. They just seemed a lot more cranky than DL's cast members. Again, I think that is because there are a TON more people that are confused, have their faces stuck in their phones, or just plain rude. That's going to wear on anyone.

I did CoP about 5 times over my 4 day trip last weekend and not once did it stop. Think you just got unlucky imo.

And they are actively maintaining it! They just redid all of the seats to have a retro colored look. The AAs and clothes were given a refresh sometime last year too.

It's a great hidden gem that most guests skip on sadly.

That's good to hear. I agree that it is a hidden gem, if it is working. It seems like it was having a bad couple of days. Oh well.

Yes! I still get shivers thinking about the BBQ soda... It was not at all the flavor I was expecting and I literally had to wash it down with Beverly.

Thank you! I’m glad I’m not the only one who got motion sick on Ratatouille. 😃 And Cosmic Rewind made me motion sick 2 out of 3 tries. (Still trying to figure out what I did differently that one good time…)
