The Magic Of Disney Animation closing?

No. It's a value resort.
And that matters why? It's still a Disney resort which people are still paying a small fortune to stay at. Would it be okay to shove it in to the Contemporary since that isn't a value resort? I'm not understanding your point.

I agree it should be kept in the park as having an attraction in a resort seems kinda odd, though it would fit in AoA given the theme and I wouldn't have a problem if they did. :)

I just heard about the closing of the Animation building- which sounds likely- but I know of One Man's Dream closing permanently real soon.

Is there any chance they would put the drawing class at the Art of Animation resort? That would make sense, but not sure if they'd put this in a non-park area.

Disney Quest always used to have a drawing class too, don't know if they still do.

This closing is sad but progress tends to be sad... I hope they find a home for this stuff as my youngest loves it but I understand that change has to happen and I support it.

I was only told the coming weeks.

I have no idea about the future of the building and really hope it does stay, but if it does end up leaving I would bet that it would be timed with the departure/arrival of the next batch of CPs at the start of August (like GMR changing in May).

I have never seen such unjustified pessimissim in my life. Seems like the closer things get to being fixed the more angry some get. Strange.

The pessimism comes from being disappointed and/or underwhelmed for the past 10 years or so. What was the last Disney attraction that really knocked your socks off? Everest opened in 2006, Toy Story Midway Mania opened in 2008. Has there been anything worth getting excited about in the 7 years since? Personally I think Star Tours 2.0 is really well done too, but I seem to be in the minority there. I feel 7DMT is a nice ride, but not an e-ticket by any stretch of the imagination. But the conversation really ends there - there just hasn't been much to talk about.

That said, if the improvements are as good as some of the rumors suggest, I will be the first one to stand up and cheer. It has been way too long coming...

Agreed, For too long WDW has merely been REMOVING attractions and lost the TRUST of long time visitors.

Supposed to be for the expansion of PP and TSPL, who knows. If happening for sure, it should be announced internally real soon.
