The Magic Of Disney Animation closing?

The EPCOT 25th Anniversary display that was up for a few years served this same purpose.
It was a nice little 'diversion' for casual visitors to enjoy, and a 'geek-out' spot for Theme Park fans.
This is something that can be appreciated from several different perspectives, when you think about it.

I'd like to see that continue elsewhere if 'One Man's Dream' needs to be closed.

As they've gutted so much out of Innoventions, would it be so out of place to install One Man's Dream where the Epcot 25th display was?

Dude, did you even think about what you said? That a tribute to Walt Disney doesn't belong in a park located in a "world" WITH HIS NAME ON IT?

Dude...did you even read what I said? Where I mentioned it would be better in MK or Epcot, you know... the parks he had a hand in (in one way or another) instead of a park that has his CORPORATE IDENTITY on it that he had zero to do with? The word "Disney", although is his name, doesn't by default mean he is behind what its attached to. Its almost as if you believe that he was in fact frozen and has come back secretly and has been pulling the strings behind the curtain..seriously...

Back on topic..Disney parks just released another "Draw" series from The Animation Accademy in DHS today, which I don't think they will keep doing (as its mostly a big commercial for that part of the park) if they are planning on shuttering it in the near future.

Seriously, why are you projecting your weird beliefs onto me? It's called "Disney's Hollywood Studios" which is fitting because the park wouldn't exist if it weren't for Walt Disney and neither would his CORPORATE IDENTITY. So the show is fine at DHS. About the only place in WDW it wouldn't fit is in AK. So you can lay off attacking people who don't want the show to disappear. If it gets moved to MK or Epcot, fine, but right now there's no evidence that that's happening.

It's also one of the only (if not the only) display/attraction of its kind dedicated to Walt Disney and the history of the films/tv/parks/etc. found in a Disney theme park. There's no reason for it not to either be relocated within DHS or moved to EP or MK. Which of course means it won't....

The room for that iss much smaller than the size where OMD is...
But it seems like between Communicore East and Communicore West they would be able to find a spot big enough to do an amazing exhibition... Those buildings are pretty massive...with great ceiling height... Heck, Mouse Gear used to have a section that had a second floor... So I am sure there is more than enough space to work with if they want to do it...

But, bear in mind....They were referring to the the room they had the Epcot 25th exhibit...It wasn't big enough..

I can understand putting it in East since the Spot is Much MUCH Bigger and since they just removed the Exhibits...I would however just change it to D23 Presents: The Walt Disney Legacy instead..

Right, and though I did state where the 25th anniversary display was, I was implying that much of the Innoventions (Communicore) square footage has been emptied, has it not? IBM Think, great Piggy Bank Adventure. There's space, perhaps some consolidation is needed of other things, but space is there.

Exactly...it needn't be in the same place the last exhibition was in...there is plenty of open space.
Why would they brand it D23? Just curious...

Do you think the DisneyParksBlog has much knowledge of these plans? I don't. Naturally, the videos will stop once the attraction closes and DPB will return to more of the regularly-scheduled articles about new decorative salt shakers.

Wouldn't it make more sense to move OMD into the animation building?!. There is plenty of room and while they are at it they can also expand the drawing class and build in some meet and greets. The animation building does have imagineering and office/technical workers but I don't beleive the 3rd and 4th floors are currently occupied so it should be fairly easy to move offices around to clear up even more space.

i'd like to see it moved and re-imagined to a large part of the former Communicore, and refocus it to concentrate more on EPCOT. Tell Walt's story through the prism of his intended community, and the reason the park came to be in the first place. One Man's Dream: The Florida Project, if you will.

Hard to say. They release about one a week and said they are planning on doing at least 3 more (total of 5 characters for inside out). I wouldn't put it past them to be blindly saying that, but who knows. I haven't heard anything outside of this thread that states its going away "soon".

Pick a colour, any colour...

Every area that I've heard was considered for large-scale change over the last 3 years. No guarantee which will make the final chop. Other areas could be included but I can't personally confirm.

That's how potentially far-reaching and thorough the makeover could be. Note I said "could".
Holy cow.

Glad GMR is safe, though...
