I've said it before, look at Time Racers.I honestly can't believe that they would want to rip out the best thing in that park. I really hope that doesn't come to pass. It would be foolishness.

20k. Horizons. Maelstrom. Why in heaven's name would TDO rip out GMR - that beautiful building, which is a showcase for what "Hollywood" is supposed to be about???
I agree it seems insane to remove it now, but we (non-insiders) have no idea what the new park theme will be until it's official. If the theme goes anti-Hollywood (the location) and only sticks to movies in general, then GMR could simply be re-themed. Regardless, simply reviewing the available park attractions and sponsorship contract work, it's unlikely to go anywhere for a few years. For all we know, the current facade work (minimal costs) and a re-theming in a few years (part of park re-theming) could all be written into the TCM contract. Why in heaven's name would TDO rip out GMR - that beautiful building, which is a showcase for what "Hollywood" is supposed to be about???
That gives me hope, seeing that foolishness never came to pass.I've said it before, look at Time Racers.
GMR could obviously use a full remodel with many scenes refreshed and some fully removed (I wouldn't be devastated to see Alien or Tarzan leave), but I hope the overall concept and purpose of the ride never changes. That gives me hope, seeing that foolishness never came to pass.
I haven't seen it in person with the TCM updates, but after Backlot Tour closed, I would argue that GMR was the worst ride in the park. It was in desperate need of an upgrade.I honestly can't believe that they would want to rip out the best thing in that park. I really hope that doesn't come to pass. It would be foolishness.
OMD is also presented by D23…Exactly...it needn't be in the same place the last exhibition was in...there is plenty of open space.
Why would they brand it D23? Just curious...
Soooo.....
Do we have any confirmed closing dates for One Mans Dream and Magic of Disney Animation ? I go in I think three days from this post
Thematically or in regards to upkeep?I haven't seen it in person with the TCM updates, but after Backlot Tour closed, I would argue that GMR was the worst ride in the park. It was in desperate need of an upgrade.
Agreed in full.GMR could obviously use a full remodel with many scenes refreshed and some fully removed (I wouldn't be devastated to see Alien or Tarzan leave), but I hope the overall concept and purpose of the ride never changes.
More that it was showing it's age, the digital upgrades help (I did see those before the new film) and the script is lousy. It needs to be refreshed that's all.Thematically or in regards to upkeep?
Thematically, the ride is a gem. Nothing more Hollywood than taking a ride through the best scenes of the best movies.
