Just for fun....
"Dear Mr. (unkadug),
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.
We recognize that the closing of the Adventurer's Club has disappointed
Guests who have come to enjoy the unique entertainment that has been
offered over the years.
Then why did you do it?
Because Adventurer's Club's revenue stream per square foot has disappointed us, and the regulars who don't spend enough money will hopefully be replaced by resort guests looking to spend money on dining, merchandise and food/beverage. If the economy doesn't tank first, that is.
With that in mind, please know a tremendous
amount of thought went into the decision as we bring the new vision for
Downtown Disney to life.
Obviously not enough.
We knew we'd take a hit from a small but vocal group of supporters, but don't expect the internet outrage to translate to real world reductions in bookings/sales.
As we look to the future, we are excited about
the evolution that will occur over the next two years, introducing a
brand new mix of shopping, dining and other experiences for our Guests'enjoyment.
Already have that at DTD, no?
West End and Boardwalk sales compared to PI sales have taught us more of a DTD thing is a good thing.
Our Guests' feedback, as well as their continued enthusiasm for our
products and services, are very important to us.
Prove it.
Watch our profits grow when T-Rex opens, compared to anything formerly open in PI. That's the type of enthusiasm for products and services we are looking for, and that's the type of dining/entertainment we are going to put on P.I. Eventually.
We genuinely
appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts with us.
Doubt that.
People who write letters are more likely to respond to our direct marketed advertising. You'll be back. All the other protestors come back, eventually. Now that we have your address, look for a surprise invitation to a discounted room/dining/park ticket package sometime soon.
Sincerely,
Walt Disney World Resort
