Ya know... In India, Eunuchs are a popular choice when it comes to getting something accomplished. They sing and dance and don't go away til you pay them, pay your taxes(Yes, the government has hired them to collect taxes!), or whatever...

Just sayin...

I just got an email response from Guest Relations.
"Dear Mr. (unkadug),

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

We recognize that the closing of the Adventurer's Club has disappointed
Guests who have come to enjoy the unique entertainment that has been
offered over the years. With that in mind, please know a tremendous
amount of thought went into the decision as we bring the new vision for
Downtown Disney to life. As we look to the future, we are excited about
the evolution that will occur over the next two years, introducing a
brand new mix of shopping, dining and other experiences for our Guests'
enjoyment.

Our Guests' feedback, as well as their continued enthusiasm for our
products and services, are very important to us. We genuinely
appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts with us.

Sincerely,

Walt Disney World Resort

Notice the "two years" remark?
excuse me, but when did the marketplace and the west side close all of their stores and resturants? and as far as I know they both do not have clubs of ANY KIND like the AC!

Obviously not enough.

Already have that at DTD, no?
Our Guests' feedback, as well as their continued enthusiasm for our

Prove it.
We genuinely
appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts with us.
Doubt that.

You should mail that to Bob Iger, Jay Rasulo, Al Weiss, Kevin Lansberry, and everyone else.

a tequilla bar with a dnace floor yup thats family entertainment for yah. It this is anywhere near true why didn't they just keep the bars & clubs they already had built? But really I think there is still hope even if Disney gives you the BS e-mail. They do need to prove that they care because they screwed up big time.

Guests who have come to enjoy the unique entertainment that has been
offered over the years.
Then why did you do it?
Because Adventurer's Club's revenue stream per square foot has disappointed us, and the regulars who don't spend enough money will hopefully be replaced by resort guests looking to spend money on dining, merchandise and food/beverage. If the economy doesn't tank first, that is.

With that in mind, please know a tremendous
amount of thought went into the decision as we bring the new vision for
Downtown Disney to life.
Obviously not enough.
We knew we'd take a hit from a small but vocal group of supporters, but don't expect the internet outrage to translate to real world reductions in bookings/sales.
As we look to the future, we are excited about
the evolution that will occur over the next two years, introducing a
brand new mix of shopping, dining and other experiences for our Guests'enjoyment.

West End and Boardwalk sales compared to PI sales have taught us more of a DTD thing is a good thing.
Our Guests' feedback, as well as their continued enthusiasm for our
products and services, are very important to us.
Prove it.
Watch our profits grow when T-Rex opens, compared to anything formerly open in PI. That's the type of enthusiasm for products and services we are looking for, and that's the type of dining/entertainment we are going to put on P.I. Eventually.
We genuinely
appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts with us.
Doubt that.
People who write letters are more likely to respond to our direct marketed advertising. You'll be back. All the other protestors come back, eventually. Now that we have your address, look for a surprise invitation to a discounted room/dining/park ticket package sometime soon.
Sincerely,

Walt Disney World Resort

All valid economic points.
However, I'm still waiting on an answer that isn't money-centered.
Not likely to get it.
Modern Disney is all about the $$$.

Expect anything that doesn't generate a flood of money to be cut. Like the water pagent. Oh, and why spend time and money on topiary sculptures. That doesn't generate anything but guest good will. No value there.

So strange going into WOL earlier this week and still seeing the Cue set up for the Making of Me...seeing the signage for Body Wars...it was so depressing.

Whats really bad is the person who took the drink menus just to sell them on ebay. I can understand maybe one for yourself (I know thats still bad) but to grab a few to resell oh come on people. I am eyeing those member pins though since I never got one unless someone has an extra they would sell a fellow Adventurer for less then an outragous ebay price. ;)

Just to let everyone know, they can be found on Myspace, and there are a few songs of theirs you can listen to. I'm hoping to catch them on a future trip. I'll also be spending alot of time in Epcot looking for Sugar, Blade, Snoopy, and Blondie in their new, less cool roles.
