I've heard as early as 5th and 6th grade...same age I found out. Then again this is the time when schools start giving out s e x ed classses to the kids. That's when I guess will be the best time to talk to your kids. They may have questions and who better to fill them in than you.
Yup yup.

Down here, we have a special school (I just found this out not too long ago) for pregnant girls. When these girls give birth they can go back to their home school, or stay in that special school. Most choose to stay because it's really nice there. Point is, I found out that a sixth grader has been enrolled in that school recently :(

Well, where I'm from, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade are middle school. 7th and 8th are junior high school. We were taught ______ Ed in 7th grade. Oral ______ was never mentioned. Just the basic fundamentals.

4th to 6th grade are still consider elementry here, but regardless, I still consider it very young to know about S E X.

Well, in 6th grade, young ladies begin to bloom. I think that is the proper time to learn about s e x and its consequences.

Wow times have changed. I was only interested in Star Wars, Video Games and playing sports at that age.

I agree. Some even "bloom" earlier than that. I guess once that happens, you've got to tell them something.

We learned in school in 6th grade science.....and of course, if parents did not want their kids to learn, they could opt them out, which was only 1 kid in the class.

I was told by my dad when I was in 3rd grade, maybe early 4th grade, but since I had 2 older sisters, they had told me when I was in 1st or 2nd grade.

Although 3rd grade may be thought of as "too young" it was nice that my parents addressed the situation prior to myself really having questions about it....that way, I was never truely in the dark.

I was given a Disney book on the subject. Of course, my mom did fill me in as well.

I have heard of girls blooming as early as first grade.

I remember having "the talk" while watching Tiny Toons. To this day if I watch that cartoon I will think of "the talk".

I never had the "talk". A nun told me in school and even then, I still didn't understand what she was talking about. It took a while. :lookaroun

Since then you hear about it... I have heard about it longer than then now that i think about it....

heck if you think about it.. this was brought about by generations... the more we go.. the younger the kids are when they learn...

I do believe TV, cable and the Internet has brought a need to talk to your kids earlier then the past generations. If you don't talk to your kids, they will learn it from the environment around them at an early age.

2 rejections in a row is nothing unusual. It just means they saved you the trouble of finding out the long way that they were not worth it

I seem to get that a lot.

Why is it never: "Gary, you remind me so much of Colin Farrell" or

"Gary, you remind me so much of that hot Chippendale's dancer" or

"Gary, you remind me so much of that sweaty young fellow pumping gas down at the Exxon"?:lookaroun
