FYI... I'm 54 april 14th 55:D:D:D

 I don't know why, but I've always pictured you as around 30ish.

As for the book, the one Speck put up looks like a real page turner, and I'll have to order it on Amazon as soon as I type this . . . but I'd stay away from it during bouncy bouncy . . . it could be a bit distracting and lead to . . . activities that should be avoided for that . . . qaulity sexual expeience.

So back to the original topic (sorry just skimmed the last couple pages of posts), from my personal experience it is definitely important to find a QUALITY mate regardless of looks or status. Here's my story. I dated 2 guys in high school one year. One was popular, the other was not. The popular guy was the one everyone wanted me to be with, and everyone despised the unpopular one and said if I stayed with him he'd ruin my life. I didn't listen to everyone, I made my own decision and stuck with the unpopular guy to everyone's dismay. I ended up marrying him and now we have 2 children together and a very happy, successful life (much of which is spent at Disneyworld LOL). He's probably the best husband and father who ever lived! And what happened to the popular guy? Well he went to a Christian College and got kicked out for sleeping with his girlfriend, went back home and married her. Decided after a while that he didn't want to be with his wife anymore so he went and found a different girlfriend on the side. Got sick of the girlfriend and begged his wife to come back. She went back to him, got pregnant, he went back to the other girlfriend again! His wife ended up having a miscarriage and was all alone while the cheating husband tried to tell everyone the baby wasn't even his! He's deplorable. Thank goodness I went with the unpopular guy! Many of the "popular" kids I went to high school with are HUGE losers now, some are even in prison!

For those of you who are staying abstinent - GOOD FOR YOU!!! (I was a virgin when I married and it was the best thing I ever did). I recently was trained as a volunteer for the Crisis Pregnancy Center and learned a lot about STD's. STD's are SOOO popular nowadays its just plain scary. If you sleep with someone, even if you use protection, the chances of you getting an STD are HUGE!! Maybe it's not "cool" to be abstinent, but won't you be laughing when you live a happy life with your spouse while you laugh at all the "cool" people who had ______ before marriage and are suffering with herpes for the rest of their life. Do you know how many young girls are getting cervical cancer now as a result of HPV? Or how many young people have STD's in their MOUTH and THROAT because they think oral ______ is safe? The statistics are FRIGHTENING. Just be safe!! I cannot even stress enough how dangerous it is nowadays to have ______ before marriage, even with protection. A condom will NOT protect against STDs!

Oh thank god! I hope some of them go to prison!

Just kidding!

Wow, this is odd, I start a thread about teenage angst about finding the right one, now we have old '70s books about, well, you know, and people talking about being abstanant? Wierd. Cool none the less. Thanks for talking openly about this, you have no idea what it's like in HS anymore....
