What is the first thing you do after checking in to your WDW resort room?

For us.....pop the TV on the "Top 7" channel and plan away!

Send the kids down to the snack bar for mugs and soda.
I set up the room while we wait for them to get back. The DH usually has 2 tylenol and closes his eyes for a bit of a nap (we drive).

Order room service! Our flight arrives later in the day, so by the time we get into our room it is usually past dinner time and we are STARVING! So we treat ourselves to room service, and then get the kids in bed asap after dinner. Then I unpack and get the room organized while DH does a run to the grocery store.

We always arrive on an early flight so our room is never ready. We check in, stow our luggage, freshen up and hit the food court. We then decide which park we want to go to for a few hours. Then we hit the parks and head back to the room about 4:00, unpack, shower and go to bed early so we can start fresh for our first full day. :)

We always arrive early...9 am...and have NEVER had a problem checking in. So, we go to our room, freshen up a bit, grab a bite in the food court and then hit MK.:)

This year we are arriving at 12:30 am so when we check in at about 1 ish, we are going right to sleep and will wake up refreshed to start at the MK!!:) Just stinks that I won't get to see the Disney World welcome signs since it will be dark.

We always get an early flight out in the morning so by the time we step foot in our resort it is usually lunch time. Luckily we have never had any trouble with our room not being ready so we head straight there and drop our luggage, freshen up a bit and have a relaxing lunch. From there we usually head back to our room, I get us organized and my hubby explores the resort, buys our mugs and grabs some groceries for our fridge. From there we usually will hit the MK or Epcot.:)

we try to arrive by lunch.....sometimes our room is not ready so we use that time to explore our resort. once we get into our room, we freshen up and rest a bit, then head to Chef Mickey's for dinner, then over to MK to see Wishes and the parade, then back to the resort to bed and get a fresh start the next morning......this has become somewhat of a ritual with us since we started coming in 2000.

Um, the signs have lights on them. Look at it this way: You'll get to see the signs lit up at night!

For us, it depends. We usually have an early flight, so we are getting there a little before lunch. If the room is ready, we have lunch at Olivia's at OKW and then do our grocery shopping. If the room isn't ready we will head for the MK and have lunch either at the Kona Cafe at the Poly or the Plaza at the MK.

I send boyfriend and kids to the pool while I unpack. Gives me time to relax and get us settled in for the week. Then I swing by the pool bar on my way to meet them. :)

We usually stay in the Boardwalk area so the first thing I do is visit the bakery and buy a nice big piece of the richest cake they have and I sit on the Boardwalk and eat and take in the sights and sounds and think, Ahh.. Home.

This year, after an all-night red-eye flight from San Francisco, we'll check in to our room in the A.M. (if it's available) at AKL, relax, unpack, grab a snack and then head to Saratoga Springs Spa for the "mystical massage" appointment we made.

After that, perhaps a dip in the AKL pool followed by early dinner at Boma (ADR's are for 4:30pm) where I plan on enjoying my first Zebra Dome. Next we're heading to DHS where there are Extra Magic Hours that night.

Can't wait!!!

We are always too excited to unpack, so dump the cases:p, and go out and about. We don't go to the park straight away because a few hours isn't enough, we always start off on a full day at Magic Kingdom. So we would usually just find our bearings, go for a swim or maybe visit Downtown Disney for a quick bite to eat. We are from Scotland, so we have a 5 hrs time difference and have been on a 9 hr flight from early morning, so arrive mid afternoon, which is really early evening for us:snore:. Bit tired as journey takes it out of you, but super excited about the next day and the real start of the holiday the following day, I LOVE DISNEY:sohappy:
