The Dreamfinder rumor, from a slightly different source...

At Disneyland at least.
They are throwing hints all over the place.

Ah. That explains it. Sounds cool, but if it was going into WDW's HM I figured I would have heard about it. Hopefully they'll get it to work correctly, although personally I see it as out of place in the new attic scene. But we shall see.

I believe he was removed as there was issues of its position in the attraction allowing guests to see the head on the shoulders even when it was not lit (making the illusion not work correctly).

JII (the original one) was my favorite attraction at Epcot, and I would love nothing more than to see it restored to a semblance of its old self.

However it's sad that the best we can hope for at Epcot these days is to bring back what should have been there all along. Disney can make money by rebuilding what it never should have destroyed to begin with, rather than investing enough to create legitimate new classics.

Ah...Maybe the technology of today can help us there.:)

Well said...BUT...I wouldn't want a carbon copy of the old JII.GIve of something new.;)

Yeah, as much as we all love the original attraction, it would be stale and outdated in today's world. What we need is a new Figment/Dreamfinder attraction that better suits today's world but still retaining the quality and complexity that the original attraction possessed.

Completely agreed, I have home made video and tribute videos from the likes of Martin for reliving these attractions, not to mention the memories from all of the ride throughs I done over the years, when the time comes for a new attraction within Imagination! I wan't something fresh, new and inspirational. (Of course Figment and Dreamfinder should be there).

I wouldn't really consider this and 'update' or anything but yesterday John Lasseter, Jim mcphee and several other creative execs did ride on journey into imagination and john seemed to be talking jim's ear off before during and especially after going on it together.

Source information? :lookaroun

Not that I find this hard to believe, I'm just curious to hear what you've heard... Mostly because the report I was given was somewhat different.

Not really. It fits like a glove. Head-chopping Bride. dissapering heads in the portraits and the spot where the old Bride was is vacant.:animwink:

Yea, I guess it's just that he looks kinda cartoony, and the attic is very ominous now. I don't know. Just my opinion.
