It was 2001 -- about 2 weeks prior to 9/11 -- I was sitting outside the KK store at NY World Trade Center, staring up at the twin towers. I also munching warm, glazed KK donuts and hot coffee, that I had just bought inside. Ahhh . . . fond memories. KK is the best.

I still get a weird feeling looking over there and not seeing the towers

I have to wonder how much my Lionel Electric Train with 6 cars and quite a lot of track, would be worth today if it still worked. I was 10 when I got it. It would be just 62 years old! I can still smell the stuff that you put in the smoke stack to make it look like a real coal burning train. Just a few drops and you were running a real train.
