@Tony the Tigger how are you liking that 60s weather? You are 35 degrees warmer than we are right now!
Hope you guys are well!

What I am surprised is how everyone in the elite powers are trying NOW to prevent the "rubes" from using the same shifty tactics that large stockholders have used to manipulate stock values. Is anyone following this stock market craziness? Totally insane.
Don't look, but here comes more! Looks like they are having trouble locking in totals, again, though.Carl
We likely had more than 8 inches. It is so heavy and wet it just kept self compacting. Never since I’ve been here have I seen snow mounds so tall. We no longer have disability parking. Not likely for awhile.

You're preaching to the choir. I drove a bus and I defy you to tell me how I would have been able to clear the snow of the roof of a bus. Also a semi. They are the ones that cause the greatest amount of danger, yet there is no real solution to that problem. I admit that I went out this morning without clearing my roof. What I did do is stop at a stop sign, looked both ways and behind me, seeing it was clear put the petal to the metal and all of it came sliding off the car before I got through the intersection. What people didn't realize was that eventually, huge chunks of snow and/or ice would melt/loosen off their car's roof and smash into the car behind them, causing some bad accidents and injuries.
Here's a section of the MA law --
In Massachusetts, police can use a couple of statutes to enforce snow-clearing. ... officers can issue a $40 fine for impeded operation if a driver has obstructed windows.
And a $200 fine for driving with an unsecured load, which can include heavy sheets of snow or ice on a car's roof.
Even though the below zero and frigid temps aren't fun at least it isn't ice/snow. It seems like it is usually sunny outside on super cold days which seems a little ironic.
Nice!! That sounds interesting!I was out in the sun today in 73 degrees on the lounge chair with this:

That was a thing on Big Bang Theory, too....the guys developed technology that the military came and said they wanted. Then the military basically kicked them off the project and handed it over to someone else to develop further. But they didn't feel comfortable with their design being used as a weapon, and the military told them that wasn't their business. I know it's just a show and fiction, but that's probably pretty realistic. And of course, once a scientist is gone, they don't have any control over how their research is used in the future. That would be disturbing, knowing something you made could be used for something terrible.

Nope. UK!Banana bread beer?! That sounds very interesting. Is it a local brew?
It does indeed seem that way because in order to have that high degree of cold the warm air must escape the levels close to the ground. However, that said, on occasion, and I have seen this quite often, it is possible to have below zero weather with snow. It all depends on the atmospheric conditions. If I remember correctly this happens late in the winter when the ground is frozen quite deep and no warm air is to be had. Then it can be very cold and snow at the same time. Makes for a fantastic day to be out and about. The plus side is whatever snow does fall does not have a high moisture level so it is light weight and small flaked.Even though the below zero and frigid temps aren't fun at least it isn't ice/snow. You and I are in the same camp. I miss Aldi a lot but I revolt at the surcharge. Aldi is a very confined space with often lines that overlap the shoppers space. Not willing. For the present time they lost a loyal shopper for a $5 money grab just like Mariano’s has. Money grabs vs profits overall and adjusting to current conditions it is poor marketing. They are just switching cashiers for personal shoppers. Diverting personnel to different roles. There are so many things my Target won't bring to the car, it drives me kinda nutty. Can curbside ground beef, not hot dogs. Can curbside milk, not creamer. Can curbside smaller bottles of Pantene, but not the medium size ones. Bananas, not tomatoes. Only smaller packs of TP or paper towels. Sometimes Kleenex, sometimes not. So, when I do curbside, I still have to run in first.
So, yesterday, I thought I would pick up at Mariano's (Kroger). I spent 30 minutes putting the list together. They wanted to charge me $4.95. To drive there myself, and pick up the groceries. My order was over $100 easy, by the way. Ended up going, because, unless the money was going directly to the employee, just no way. Today, DD is having a banana emergency. She needs them for the smoothie she makes herself every morning. $35 order, and Amazon does not up charge me to bring it to my front door. I think between being able to curbside Target, and get the remainder brought to my door, it will be awhile before I go into a store.
As I am looking at now we are not in the wiggle room for lesser amounts. We seem to be in the thick of it for 2nd time this week. Nor amused.Don't look, but here comes more! Looks like they are having trouble locking in totals, again, though.
I guess what surprises me most is that no one else took exception to it. Like they all just agreed. I would say a lot of E's class is lazy, but that's boys AND girls, and the girls are no more likely to slack off than the boys are. NONE of them want to do the math homework! E does it, as do her friends, and she gets really good grades on it, but a lot of the kids will ask in the whatsapp group "Who has the answers to the homework?" I just don't understand how the this teacher who doesn't even know them can make generalized statements based on gender.I am sorry. Our gifted program speaker said reading girls and math boys. Girls are not good in math They’d rather just read. I had so much to say the next day.
Sadly there are male educators still out there that would never support a undergrad degree for even their own daughters. It is better than when I was in school but a long way to go. Boys shop And drawing, Girls Cooking and sewing. It is difficult to shake the stupid out of some. I’m glad E had a good role model like you, what you went through to earn your BA and became an educator. E learned by example. Good Mom Be proud.
