Good Morning... Happy Sunday!

Making a new version of bread today... this one adds a cup of oatmeal to the normal ingredient... I'll be interesting to see how we feel about it!

Big win today.... my pants were getting to big and I've been wearing a belt... so I decided to try on a skort that was previously too tight for me, and they fit! Not complaining about that!

Way to go! That always feels so good, though I do find it annoying when my pants start slipping down. Congratualtions! How's the new TV working out for you?

It was cool to see the downtown that had inspired Walt so much, and walking around we could definitely see touches that made its way to Main Street in Disneyland & MK. It was also kind of sad because a lot of stores were closed and empty; could have been from being a small town or because of Covid or maybe both, but still sad to see shuttered stores.

We were told at the museum that this building was the inspiration for Coke Corner on Main Street at Disneyland. And we could totally see a connection, even to Casey's a bit on Main Street at MK.

Wow, it reminds me of downtown Laramie. That same old main street style of buildings, etc.

It was fun and even though it was only one day it felt a lot longer! Probably because of the drive. We are headed into Minnesota today, we are going to the Arboretum today when B is done with work. And trying a new restaurant (in the patio area) we've seen for my birthday today.

Your up north trip sounds nice, have fun! And I hope your 50th trip happens since you couldn't do the MN knitting trip.

@figmentfan423 , thanks for chatting with E! She finished her "can do" statements for her portfolio today. She baked brownies this morning for the "can read instructions in English" part, she used your chats for the penpal part, I think, and she did a video chat with my best friend for the "Able to follow a conversation if English is spoken clearly and at a moderate tempo" or something like that. In any case, she's met all the requirements. So thank you for helping her out!!

No more free 7-day trial anymore. Anyway, it's complicated how it all works. They didn't list DirecTV to carry it, which is what I have on the TVs. All I wanted to see was that one show, one time. (I rarely watch movies or series, as I mostly watch multiple news channels for the most part.) Sigh. Guess it's not an option for me.

It got to 87 degrees outside when the thunderstorm broke out. Florida came to me

@ajrwdwgirl , I went back to the actual church building for the first time this morning.
Every other pew is blocked. No one can sit by anyone they did not arrive with. We now have 3 morning services instead of the previous 2. It keeps the number of people in any one worship service to a small manageable amount.
All very safe.
What's your church doing?

We aren’t doing any in the building services until mid-August. On communion Sundays there is a parking lot service (via fm radio) and communion is given out in factory sealed premade packets. The rest of the services are live streamed on FB and then put on YouTube. Our council is in no rush to have in the building worship.

Thanks for the birthday wishes and cake. Brad actually got me a chocolate cake with the whipped cream frosting my mom always got us for our cake. Except I couldn’t get a chocolate cake as a kid because my sister didn’t like chocolate then so I had to get marble so she could eat around the chocolate, but that was fair because she would have picked strawberry for hers and I wouldn’t have eaten that, so marble cake for everyone! Anyway, I haven’t had a cake on my birthday since 2004 before Brad and I got married and my mom got me a cake!

We went to a new restaurant to eat and it was good a blend of BBQ and Latin food, then went to the Arboretum, now just chilling at home with a tummy full of cake!
