The mall today was very crowded but doabl. Parking and traffic ugly. Fortunately I’ve been navigating since the 70s and know how to beT the traffic and the hidden parking gaps

There is an awesome cupcake venue on the Mag mile Of Chicago. This week it came to Woodfield. @ajrwdwgirl GO when you come to town. Down the Nordstrom wing half
Way Will not disappoint. Disney can’t compete.

Thanks Figgy, and I hope y’all had a happy Thanksgiving and YUM-O-RAMA :hungry:;) Thanksgiving feast, as well...!!!:)
It’s just been sooooo much fun to watch Emy grow and change over the last year+...!!!!!!! :joyfull::inlove::happy:

As far as site issues go...
I haven’t had issues quoting, but, it took me 3 edits for that Pink Panther video to post up without it having major issues when I viewed it on this site. And, even then, I had to finally choose another, lower quality, YouTube version of it before it finally had no issues.
Funny thing is, when I logged in a coupla’ Sunday mornings ago the site was down for “upgrading”.
Not sure what kinda’ “upgrading” was done, but, obviously, some of us are still havin’ Issues... :cyclops:
THNX we'll be feasting today. Long short, today is better for everybody travel and weather wise

I remember you mentioning this awhile ago. When we were watching the movie and at one point I paused the movie and told Brad that was Georgia not Arizona. 🙂
A few years ago they were filming a movie at my old Jr. High and it was supposed to be set in Georhia in July but they filmed it in November. In Ohio. Big geographical difference.

Well Thanksgiving and Black Friday at work was a nightmare. People, if you're gonna come out shopping, don't do any of the following, especially in a crowded store:

1. Stop and get on your phone either in a main aisleway or one of the smaller aisles. People are also trying to shop as well as the people who are trying to get their work done.
2. Don't stop and have a conversation right in the middle of an aisleway. Wanna make small talk? Go outside.
3. Don't go slower than a snail then come to a complete stop with people behind you. I don't know how many times I almost hit people with my cart the last few days because of this.

Last but not least

4. Don't take up space and then proceed to give someone working a dirty look when they get agitated because you refused to move. You're in THEIR way. Either get the hell out of it, or be prepared to have someone push through.

I admire your patience, which must have been stretched to the limit. Deep breaths . . . Black Friday is only one day a year, thank God.

Busy holiday weekend here. There's a local art show later today; and yesterday for about 4 hours, I helped them rearrange a conference space (pushing away chairs, etc. to open up the venue). Then we set up around 80 easels for the artists. (Many of these easels were old, and we were repairing some of them as we went along ... LOL.) Then, there was the usual running around looking for extension cords, etc.

Will see how many visitors stop by today. I'll find out my duties when I get there this afternoon -- I think they'll have me selling raffle tickets, or some such lunacy. :p

That sounds like fun. Retirement has sure opened new opportunities for you.

Your Thanksgiving dinner looks fabulous! And the cupcakes look good too. I don't know if we will be stopping at Woodfield mall but if we do I'll check it out. I just rebooked our hotel, at a lower cost, for when we go down to his sister's. Not looking forward to it except for that we usually go into downtown Chicago and I do like that. Also looking forward to some Garretts! Brad had to go down a couple weeks ago for some synod stuff for the church and he brought me a jumbo bag of cheese popcorn, oh man did it hit the spot!

I was watching a Hallmark movie yesterday and it was supposed to be set in Minneapolis in December. Yet in the movie all the trees were still green and leafy and the grass that didn't have the fake snow on it was still very green. I laughed, I've lived in this area all my life and trees are never green and leafy in December. Oh well, I guess it makes the scenery look better for the movie, I guess bare trees with dirty slushy snow aren't good for movies.😃

It is a shame Disney stopped the Shop Disney Parks app where you could actually get merchandise directly from Walt Disney World. I even used to be able to get a Passholder discount with it.
People on Ebay are selling the sweatshirts marked up considerably. They even have sold out sizes. Sorry, not paying over $60 for something that with a discount code I could get for $40. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
